there really isn't any 'best' characters. Warlocks pwn in PvP if used correctly, however they have no escape spells, and need soulshards. Mages pwn in PvP if used correctly, however they are gimped and getting more and more nerfed (silently, mind you) with each patch. Rogues pwn in PvP in 1v1, however they have a hard time against AOE users. Warriors pwn in PvP if used correctly, however they're a simple target for kiting. Priests pwn in 1v1 PvP. Paladins .. well, nevermind. Don't be a hunter or a pally and you'll be fine. Oh, and druids pwn too.

Rouges can blind and sap. One rogue can take out 3 IF used correctly. But DO not be a rogue. They're just to many of them. Be a Druid. Or a Warrior, were in need of tanks.

Well my main character is a priest and they are a lot harder to level up than my alternate character which is a pally. Priests are very good at getting in groups and are always wanted.

Just think about what you would like to play. The classes are all well balanced so it doesn't really matter which you take. Just think a bit about the characters role, you can find a brief explanation on the wow-homepage or ask us. Keep in mind that a character plays differently in pvp,pve and instances. A warrior, for example, is almost useless in large pvp-fights, easy to handle in pve-fights and has the role of a tank in instances.

I actually recomend Paladin. The healing/tank abilities come in useful in PvE. If you're actually any good at PvP, you should be able to win as a Paladin [Hell I can do it, and I'm relatively new to WoW]. But be prepared to be pissed off at a lack of ranged/movement hindering spells.

If you're good at PvP, don't be paladin. Paladin's are only good at dying slowly when it comes to PvP (except against rogues, but that's because rogues get raped by plateusers). [edit]Paladin's have decent survivability, though. But they're only 'good' at pvp in early levels.[/edit]

They don't own at all, they can survive but it's always difficult to win PvP.

I currently have well-geared level 58 Orc warrior. For warriors, you really arent very good in PvP until you are lvl 57+ and can get good gear. Since about that time ive been very good and can kill almost anybody 1v1, and i also do very well in group pvp.
