Lately I have been lagging like hell. I mean it, with the flames and the devil and everything. Damn hell. I was wondering whether or not this is caused by the amount of RAM I have. My current compy has around 512 megs, and last night i froze in ironforge for 10 whole minutes. 10 WHOLE MINUTES!!!
HorîZoNMaybe you have some spyware or adware running in the background. Check your proccess and run a system scan for spyware to see if you can clean it up a bit. I'd also check your mods folder, delete any you're not using because they can suck up your RAM.
Good tip. I erased all mods to see if it made a difference, and it ran a lot smoother. Ironforge is still as bad as ever though. I will be more selective with mods in future. Now I'm off to buy more RAM. :D
Ironforge lags so bad for me I end up falling in the pits. Stupid mapping idea :( I have two interface mods installed but they dont really make a difference to the lag. I disabled my firewall because it added around 500 to my ping. (this only happens with WoW, nothing else)
Anyhow I usually get a ping somewhere in the 250's - 500's. And that rises above 1000 when things get horribly serious, but they rarely happens.
This gets me wondering, is ping the same as latency?
Yeah, latency is just a posh word :p
And lag is the word that triggers all our fears :p
Indeed, because of the stupid game placing all their international servers in America, all us queer overseas guys get horrible Latency :(
I'll try disabling my Firewall though next time.
Apparently they're bringing out Pacific servers soon though :)
Now That will be cool, only thing is Ill have to ask my chracter to be moved from the server im at, if thats possible?
People say I post too much

If they don't bring out pacific/aus servers, then I wonder why you people still bother to pay for the game...
