I would do WW1 because this is Age of "EMPIRES". World War One was the last war between empires of the world and that war destroyed all of those empires. In World War Two, it was not empires, but a war with just superpowers (Except Japan and I guess you can say the same with the Third Reich but they don't really matter compared to the massive number of empires in World War One).

But with this old system of build and destroy of AoE series, it won't work well with these modern wars compared to Company of Heroes and World in Conflict. Plus, you're always on the move in WW2(Mobile Warfare) and such. WW1 had trenches, so yeah, building and stuff won't blend well with that. Civil war, AoE3 basically has units for the American Civil War. But, I am doing the The Great War Campaign. So hopefully you guys will enjoy that as the (maybe) last major campaign for the AoE3 Community.

That is funny because I was thinking the same thing, WWI is the last time it was Empires and would be the only logical one. But it would be fun to do 1850ish-1920ish that was you could inculde the civial war and maybe the Franco Prussian war and others that fit in before WWI.

Forgot a war - actually, it's more an invasion... 1812, when the US tried to invade Canada.

AOE technically goes to 1850ish, remember the campaign about the Native Americans and going west, happened way after 1812 so that is not really an option. Oh and the war of 1812 was not an invasion of Canada, I take it you live in Canada but just read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_of_1812 or better yet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_of_1812#Question_of_United_States_expansionism The war of 1812 was cause by Great Brittan making it hard for the US to trade with France, British ships were capturing US citizens and using them as forced labor, and there was some evidence that they were working with the Native Americans to attack the US. The US never wanted to invade Canada and take it over, maybe to make Great Britain mad but that was not what the war of 1812 was about. The only reason I am so passionate is this was probably the only war the US fought in that wasn't just for imperialistic ideals (Mexican American war, Spanish American war, Korean War, Vietnam War, Iraq War...etc), so give us a break on this one. :)

And apparently, I'm posting everywhere to raise awareness and since no one is replying like in your other post: FINE, be that way. I'm hoping this will help the dying community.
