While we've known that FoxNext Games have been working on a new Alien game since pretty early on this year, one seemingly unrelated to Alien: Isolation, we've had few other details, including what this new game might be called.
PC Gamer are now reporting that a new trademark filing by 20th Century Fox implies that the name of this new game might be Alien: Blackout. The trademark filing for the name does specifically state, among other uses, "game software, computer game and video game software".
It may also be possible that Hideo Kojima may also be on board in some capacity, after he started sharing some pictures of himself posing with Alien signs and props on Twitter and the ongoing "Worlds Will Change" - which features the big "Weyland-Yutani" W logo from the Alien universe, with more information seemingly coming at The Game Awards 2018.
So it remains to be seen what will come of all this, but a new Aliens game with Kojima onboard will hopefully point to another solid title within the franchise, which, as we know, can be either very hit or very miss.
