This binds cetain sayings to different keys regarding what map you are on. This does work with the new patch 1.2
ArJuBx Comm Pack 1.1.1 Please read the whole file, this has instructions on installation, modification, and usage. By: ArJuBx Email: [email protected] Installation: 1) Back up your current user.ini file. 2) Extract all files into your AA system folder. 3) Go into the new user.ini file and fill out your account name(in two places) and password. ************ULTRA IMPORTANT NOTE************ Whenever you change your bindings you must also make those changes the restore.txt file in the compak folder! If you fail to do this, you will be extrememly frustrated because your binding will reset each time you use this comm. system. To do this: 1) Go to the user.ini file find the button that was changed. 2) Copy the text after the equal sign. 3) Paste that text after the same button in the restore.txt file in the ComPak forlder.** 4) Repeat steps 1-3 for all changed keys. 5) Save the restore.txt 6) Your set. **If you can't find a key in the restore.txt file, don't worry about it, my com system won't use it, so it won't be altered when your in the system. Sorry about the hassle but there is no other way. You may not bind the keys my system uses to more than 1 action. Also make sure you don't bind the shift, tab, or numpad keys to anything else, unless you really know what you are doing. Another problem minor problem I have found is if you bind a second action to a key and it is in the restore.txt file, you will end up doing that second action after exiting the system. I will work to correct this but, in the meantime just try not to bind anything there. Example: In your User.ini file 2 is bound to do FragGrenade and say "Frag Nade" Well, assumming you followed my instructions on changing bindings, the error will be after you use the comm system and let fo of the shift key it will allways say "Frag Nade". ******************************************** To activate: Press the shift key - this will take you to the first level menu. To get out of the system press tab. You must also press tab at the end of a message combo, unless you wish to make an extra message of the same general action. In game instructions: When a map starts press the numpad key that corrosponds with the map. This is also in the reference.txt under the maps section. NUMPAD KEY MAP NAME ------------------------ 1 Bridge 2 Insergent Camp 3 Pipeline 4 HQ Raid 5 Tunnel 6 Mout McKenna 7 FLS 8 Swamp Raid 9 Mountain Ambush After pressing the shift key to activate the system the first level menu will be activated The first level menu is for the general action you want to accomplish. The first level menu is the same for all maps. This info is also under the First level menu section in the reference.txt file. First level menu: BUTTON GENERAL ACTION ------------------------------ A Advance to... B Backup need at... C ...is clear of enemies. D Defend... E Enemy spotted at... S Self(I'm at...) <---I decided not to use I here because it to far away. w Who's at...? G Grenade... Q Quick(see below) Q(Quick) in the first level menu is a set of messages that are the same for all maps. It contains stuff like 'report in', 'roger', 'negative', ect... For a full list of messages in the Q menu goto the Quick section in the reference.txt file. Second level menu: These are the map specific ones that change. These basically refer to the location you wish to direct the first level action at. For example after you choose a action you will get to press hotkeys for locations. The great part about this system is you only have to memorize one set of locations for each map, and all the actions will use the same locations. For a full list of locations for each map goto the map heading in the reference.txt file. Examples: Lets say your on bridge and you just saw a enemy climb on to the top of the arch. Here are the steps to report it to your team. STEP BUTTON REASON ------------------------------ 1 Shift to activate menu system(1st level) 2 E to goto the enemy spotted sub-menu(2nd level) 3 T letter that is assigned to top of acrh (map location) 4 Tab to get you back to your game After that you will team say: "Enemy spotted at top of the arch." Now, same situation but you want to tell someone to grenade the top of the arch. STEP BUTTON REASON ------------------------------ 1 Shift to activate menu system(1st level) 2 G to goto the grenade sub-menu(2nd level) 3 T letter that is assigned to top of acrh (map location) 4 Tab to get you back to your game After that you will team say: "Grenade the top of arch." What if you wanted to say grenade the stairs right after saying grenade the arch. STEP BUTTON REASON ------------------------------ 1 Don't press Tab to exit system 2 S Press extra location 3 Tab To get back to system After that you will team say: "Grenade the stairs." You can do that as many times as you need. Now if you need to say Enemy spotted at stairs. STEP BUTTON REASON ------------------------------ 1 Shift to activate menu system(1st level) 2 E to goto the grenade sub-menu(2nd level) 3 S letter that is assigned to top of acrh (map location) 4 Tab to get you back to your game As you notice you only change your general action but still use the same button for the position. This is how it works for all maps, or change your location and keep the same action. Also note all keys are very intuitive except for the tunnels in Insurgent Camp (which is N because I already used T and U so I picked N which is the third letter). That is the basics of the system, hope you like it, If you have any questions or suggestions email me at [email protected]. I will release updated versions as new maps come out. I like to give a special thanks to El_Manxo and Phreek, because I used some map postions from thier commo_pack. Oh yeah if you two read this could you let me know if I could use your blank charts to put in my default config.
