Sovereign... Duh. It's got better sensors, better shields, better EVERYTHING. Right down to the bar on the lower saucer section. -CanadianBorg P.S. Resistance is futile, eh?

I voted Galaxy Class USS Venture, because I'm just in love with the Galaxy class :P My favorite Fed ship.. even if the sovereign is stronger then a Galaxy, I prefer beauty over strength :P

Galaxy class. Better all around ship for any mission not involving combat. Decent enough while conducting tactical operations any Threat Commander will think twice before engaging her. Truer to the spirit of Starfleet, which is not a military organization. Here in A2 Land, we sometimes tend to forget this. Sovy is an excellent warship, but unless there actually is a war on, I suspect all the Sovys are "laying up in ordinary" until needed again. P.S. More Galaxys than Sovys in the fleet anyways, so I also have a better chance of sitting in the Big Chair. P.P.S. Non Starfleet ship choice would be P Veer. Just for the beauty of her.

Well the Venture is the lead ship for the MkII setup for the Galaxies. She has sensors and weapons and propulsion that is the equal of any Soverign. She also has 3 Battle stars from the Dominion War which the Soverign sat out. so theres a reputation and prestige that comes with the command of USS Venture.:p

Hats off to the Galaxy. I've always liked how it combined luxury with tactical superiority.

though i like the galaxy a lot, when you have to fight, the sovereign is the better choice ;)

Sovvy, why? Less people to look after, better (looking) ship overall. But I really hoped for a smaller class of ship to command, like the Nova class (Kim's Rhode Island).

Galaxy all the way. the Sovvy may be a better fighter, but 1, remember this is the USS Venture (dominion war refit makes deadlier ship), and 2, The galaxy has more equipment for scientific/diplomatic missions, and is able to take on a much more diverse role.

Me, I'd rather command a Traveler ship from Stargate-:donut:

I almost voted for the USS Venture, but seeing as how they let civilians on Galaxy class ships, I'd have a lot of reservations about sending her into battle.

The SOV. Families don't belong on a ship that can enter combat any day. The Galaxy is huge but also quite unmanuverable (Fat lady), where the Sov is slimmer and has significantly better movability. Also the Sov was build with, among others, the purpose to fight the Borg.

yeah, the sov is big, powerful, and has WAY better equipment, but lets face it... the real reason we chose it is cuz its just damn sexy!

Tottiboy pretty much explained my views for me. The fact that it is a Venture subtype and that TNG showed the Captain is usually a rolemodel to the kids makes it even better. @Vice_Admiral_Svar: There are only civilians onboard during peace-time, and during that the saucer seperation is used to keep them safe during trouble.

As much as I like the Feds, I would never really want to command one of their vessels. I mean, where's the fun and mystery in that? Romulans sneak around and shoot you to bits when you're not looking, and you never know what they're up to. Klingons charge in with weapons blazing, and Blood wine! Who can so no to Blood wine? The Feds? "Oh look, it's a star, let's scan it!" or "Hi known hostile, can be be friends?...Oh sh-" ...Not to mention that they have the biggest fan made fleet ever, though I can't nag much on that since I helped with it >.>

Starfleet? No, thanks. Marines, get that "Admiral" in his skin-tight overall out of my CIC!

I voted for Sovvy, but only because a Defiant class wasnt an option

This was a hard one, the Venture isn't an ordinary ship...she's more heavily armed then she looks....but I went with the Sovereign because in the end it's a better ship.
