haha yeah, this is getting old. hard to choose 4 this one though. i really like both ships.

As I explained earlier, I'm doing this as part of an elimination series to see which ship people would most like to command. But if people are seriously tired of it, I can work in other poll ideas from this point on. :cool:

There's no game what so ever. Akira all the way baby! 15 torpedo launchers = raw power and ass kicking for all enemies!

I'd have the Akira. The Intrepid looks fat from the front.

Intrepid class more maneuverable, better warp capability and more exploration oriented and Its one of my 3 favourite cannon ships along with the Galaxy and Nova

i'd pick the one with more firepower, when you capt. a starfleet vessel seems like you have a big target painted on your ship and i'd like to be able to fight back

I hate Akiras but I hate Intrepids even more.

If I remember the specs right, the Akira was built more for combat...that's why I went with it.

yeah, the akira is a purely combat oriented vessel like the defiant. She was comissioned to fight the borg.

I find it fascinating that for the past four days these two ships have been separated by at most two or three votes, back and forth. It'll be a fight to the finish for these two! :cool:

I wonder what would those guys that voted for the Intrepid do in a combat situation against a much larger enemy ship(let's say a dominion battlecruiser)

Run like hell? Intrepids are poor fighters (Voyager doesn't count, most Delta races were primitive) but they are fast.

Intrepid, no question... Starfleet isn't combat oriented, and it's not constantly at war. I think there would be (in peace) more demand for an Intrepid, and less to do for an Akira. Besides, if you command an Akira, you'll certunately more be sent to combat, increasing your chances to die... And I like to live...

Im a fighter so Akira all the way. I am not a coward so the Intrepid would be a bad choice.

Yes..I also like being alive...On the other hand Intrepids are not that bad in a fight:D Nova's are worse:D
