Another great addition of the TOS era ships, and an interesting choice; This one's done really well, and it comes with an intriguing scenario...see the Readme for more information.
Hi! Thanks for checking out the Commander Loskene Hero Ship by Slider17. TOS Scenario: (Open mind remember ;) ) Reports from several outposts have sighted a lone Tholian patrol ship moving away from Tholian space. Concerned that the trip may be similar in nature to the first sighting of Tholians over 100 years ago, Starfleet Command has decided to intercept and escort the ship through federation space. The implications of war are tense, so the Enterprise was dispatched, believing that her recent contact with Loskene will provide valuable tactical insight. After interception, we discover that it is none other than Loskene himself! Xenophobic and apparently stubborn, Loskene refused to say anything other than his intentions towards Earth and the Enterprise are non-hostile. Loskene’s true mission remains a mystery, for now... My 2 cents: Anyway, there’s one setup, from what I’ve read surfing around, the Tholians border Klingon space, and they are near the Briar Patch. Perfect for the Armada 2 setting I thought. Well, I made this mod from scratch because I thought it would allow for more TOS missions and it’s amusing. Features: This ship comes with a wireframe, can fire torpedoes and uses 9 voice files! Installation instructions are included along with the following: Loskene.sod Loskene.odf Loskene.tga Loswire.tga Events.dat Gui_global.spr fed.odf LosBeC.wav LosForce.wav LosGreen.wav LosI.wav LosNoTol.wav LosPro.wav LosTA.wav LosVW.wav LosWWW.wav 2Install.txt Readme.txt Installation involves copying these files to their proper locations; refer to the 2install.txt file for details.
