He's at it again. This time, the subject of Dan1025's modding efforts is the Hideki class Cardassian scout ship. And like every other mod that he's released as part of this continuing effort, the awesomeness continues. The Hideki is the spoonheads' answer to the Peregrine, or the Bird of Prey, and the screencap clearly shows just how well they work in that role.

As of late, Dan's begun adding wireframe and build button replacements --and they fit really well! Fortunately everything can be installed to replace the stock version using the detailed install instructions listed below, and as always, Dan's outdone himself in his readme.

Download this one and add it to your collection.

Continuing my line of replacement Cardassian ships I present the new Hideki Class, made by simply converting Zorgs Hideki Class from SFC. The model has 2 textures and a poly count of 776.

This will act as a replacement for your Hideki Class (cscout).

Included in this mod are:

SOD file
Ship textures
Borg textures
Ship ODF
AdmiralsLog picture
Buildbutton
Wireframe

Installation Instructions:

1. Place "cscout.sod" into the Activision/Star Trek Armada II/SOD folder.
2. Place all files found in the RGB folder into the Activision/Star Trek Armada II/Textures/RGB folder.
3. Place "cscout.odf" into the Activision/Star Trek Armada II/odf/ships folder.
4. Place the "cscout.bmp" file found in the ShipImages folder into the Activision/Star Trek Armada II/bitmaps/AdmiralsLog/ShipImages folder.

(Ensuring you click "Yes" when the computer asks if you'd like to replace the older files).

5. Find the file named "gui_global.spr" found in the Activision/Star Trek Armada II/Sprites folder and open it (use notepad).

Search for where it says:

"Cardassian Wireframes"

and delete the entry for cscout

now find where it says:

"@reference=64"

(if "@reference=64" isn't in your Cardassian Wireframes section you'll need to add it at the end of the section).

and add:

cscoutw1			WFcscout	0	0	64	64
cscoutw2			WFcscout	0	0	64	64
cscoutw3			WFcscout	0	0	64	64
cscoutw4			WFcscout	0	0	64	64
cscoutw5			WFcscout	0	0	64	64

Save and close the file.
