Whilst no screenshot of the map, this does look like a very detailed and fun map to play in. More can be found in the ReadMe. :)
Hello. I am Ramrod the Destroyer, and this is my first mod. The map is large, and there are also a LOT of dewarping zones in the map, making progress difficult. The wormholes don't help much, but they're the only way to get between sectors. It is called "King Of the Hill" because there is a region in the center containing 6 Infinite dilithium moons, 6 Class-D planets, and 3 Class-M planets. So, in general, whoever controls the hill will have an advantage. However, there are many other resources at other parts of the map, so taking over the region may not be too bad. You start with 3 dilithium moons, a Class-L and a Class-H planet, and 4 latinum nebulas. You then enter the two neighboring systems, which contain a Class-J and 2 Class-H planets, two dilithium moons, and 4 latinum nebulas each. The only access to these is from your base (at first). From one of those sectors, you enter a new system. This contains 5 planets (2 Class-J, a Class-M, a Class-D, and a Class-K), 10 latinum nebulas, two dilithium moons, and an infinite moon. At this point, you have access to an enemy's second sector, and could eliminate them. But this is also where you get access to the Hill. The resource content was stated above for this. However, several Metaphasic nebulas make large scale stationary development difficult. So it is best to try to take any surrounding territory. A piece of advice: don't play against the AI on easy, they take forever to go outside their system. Total Size: about 1 MB. Installation: just as with any other map, drag the .bmp, .bzn, and .txt files (except this one) into your BZN folder. Legal Stuff: If you want to change this, go ahead. If you want to use it in another mod, you can but give me credit AND let me know that you are. If you need to reach me, I'm at firstname.lastname@example.org. Enjoy.
