It's hard not to like a mod that includes a new special weapon, a new form of damage textures that are system specific, level-of-detail enabled .SODs, 3D Borg and special effect textures, engine glow effects, and all the other stuff you'd expect. It's already been ported to other games, and now it's finally available for A2.

It seems that the Planck class starship is the bridesmaid of this A2 modding contest, and it's unfortunate. Indeed, if we had models of this quality for every starship in the game, think of how fantastic this game would look. Ultimately, and unfortunately, it was the judges' decision not to award either of the prizes to the Planck. That doesn't mean she's been overlooked, however. Far to the contrary-- this is quality work and fully deserving of praise.

2. Choose a shipyard which should build the Planck.
   The advanced shipyard of the federation is fyard2.odf and is located here: 
   "...ActivisionStar Trek Armada IIodfstations"

  -Open fyard2.odf with your Windows Texteditor (Notepad) or another Program like this.
   Have a look for the text:

buildItem2 = "fspecial"
buildItem3 = "fbattle"

  -Write under this entry: buildItem4 = "fwplanck"


  -Save the file and close it.

3.  Choose the directory: "...ActivisionStar Trek Armada II	echtree".
   Open the file "fulltech.tt" with the Windows Texteditor and search "fbattle.odf  0".
   -Write under this entry:

  -Save the file and close it.
