The Elven Guard mod adds the Rohan Elven Warriors from BFME 1 to the Elven Faction in BFME2. They are now fully functional units that benefit from all elven upgrades and are produced at the Elven Barracks when it is rank 3 at the build cost of 800 and 80 command points. Gholin(the mod's author) has balanced them so that they are not overly advantageous and they are a great alternative to pumping out warrior and archer hordes. They definitely add spice to the elven faction as a late game unit.

Elven Guard 1.0 Mod -------------------- Hi. This is version 1.0 of my Elven Guard mod. It adds the Rohan Elven Warriors from BFME 1 to the Elven Faction in BFME2. They are now fully functional units that benefit from all elven upgrades and are produced at the Elven Barracks when it is rank 3 at the build cost of 800 and 80 command points. Notes ------------------------------------------------------- Instructions on how to install and Use: 1) Find your original ini.big file in the BFME 2 root directory and copy it into a backup folder. VERY IMPORTANT! 2) Extract the Elven Guard Mod folder included from this zip file into your BFME 2 directory or somewhere else accessible. 3) Copy the ini.big within the Elven Guard Mod folder to the BFME 2 directory and just play the game as the elves to use the new unit! 4) If you followed the steps, I've made it easy for you to switch between my mod's ini.big and the original when needed. To revert back to normal, just copy your backed up ini.big back into the root directory. 5) Enjoy and let me know how you like it! I look forward to seeing you out there on the battlefield. Notes and issues: - Since EA removed the old Elven Barracks radial buttons, I decided to use the Elven Builder's icon in the barracks, so when looking to build this unit, look for an Elven Builder icon in the Elven Barracks. - Burning animations and behaviors are not implemented yet, so fire does not cause them to run around and burn when they die. It still damages them however. I'm not sure the model has this behavior programmed, but when I figure it out, I'll fix it. - When the Silverthorn Arrows Upgrade is purchased, the bows look like they have fire arrows equipped, even though they shoot silverthorn arrows. When I figure out how to change this, I'll update it. - Since I couldn't figure out the tooltips and controlbar strings, I have opted to use the LorienWarriors tooltips and controlbar strings instead. I'd like to change this in the future, but for now they are Lorien Warriors in name.
