File Description

The Mitheithel River flows south from the Ettenmoor and meets the Loudwater River to form the Hoarwell. It crosses the Great East Road at Last Bridge well to the west of the Ford of Bruinen on the Loudwater, which is near Rivendale. This ford on the Loudwater was a scene in the first movie when the Elven princess saved Frodo and carried him to Rivendale. She called up a water elemental there to defeat the Nazgul that were chasing her.

LONG DESCRIPTION:
The Mitheithel River flows south from the Ettenmoor and meets the Loudwater River to form the Hoarwell. It crosses the Great East Road at Last Bridge well to the west of the Ford of Bruinen on the Loudwater, which is near Rivendale. This ford on the Loudwater was a scene in the first movie when the Elven princess saved Frodo and carried him to Rivendale. She called up a water elemental there to defeat the Nazgul that were chasing her.

But before the Mitheithel turns south towards its meeting with the Loudwater, it flows to the west, down through the mountains south of the Ettenmoor. Up in that cold north country Gondor built a castle and a small fishing town grew up around it at the critical crossings below Ettenmoor. Now the war has reached this remote, normally peaceful setting, and blood will flow on the Mitheithel.

SHORT DESCRIPTION (In Game): The Mitheithel flows west, then south to the Hoarwell. A Gondor castle is at Ettenmoor crossing. Rohan allies to the NW, Mondor and Isengard surround you.

TACTICAL SITUATION:
There is a large camp of Rohan allies to the northeast of the Ettenmoor crossings over a high divide that separates the Mitheithel valley from the valley the Rohieren have occupied. There are up to five Mordor and Isengard armies sourrounding you, over the mountain passes, and spilling into the Mitheithel valley.

HINTS:
Control the mountain passes that give access into the Mitheithel valley if you can. Failing that, retain control of the crossings. If you must, drop back to the castle, but a pure defensive posture in the castle may fail entirely.

OBJECTIVES:
Destroy all enemy camps and drive Mordor and Isengard away from the Ettenmoor corssings and the Mitheithel River.

INSTALLATION:
Unzip the attached files. They include the following files:

Blood on the Mitheithel.map - The map itself for LOTR-BFME
Blood on the Mitheithel.tga - The small description map seen in the game as it loads.
Blood on the Mitheithel_pic.tga - Im game picture while loading map.
map.str - Contains more detailed Map Info that pops up at the start of the game.
Blood on the Mitheithel-readme.txt - This file

They will unzip into a directory called "Blood on the Mitheithel". Once you have placed this directory onto your computer, for example in the "My Documents" folder, you then must copy or move this folder to the proper location before it will work in the game. If you know the proper loaction, then you can unzip it directly there and avoid the next step.

To move or copy the files to their proper place on your system, use Windows Explorer and move or copy the folder to the the "Maps" folder in the "My battle for Middle-earth" folder which is in the "Application Data" folder under the user name you use on the comuter. The "My battle for Middle-earth" folder is located in the following location:
