Two players start on a plateau on the upper left and upper right corner with two expansionpoints to the south. Two players start on the south end of the map with access (or threat of attack) to all other players. Two players start in the middle of the map with one player north and two players south of them, plus a couple of expansionpoints. One player starts below the plateau on the north end of the map, just behind the middle players
