You will be required to do a proper in game training for each weapon.

That actually is a good idea.

They make u train with the weapons in Americas Army

 #3 - Posted by: dunk999999 (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 05:33

It's a bit too much like the CoD series I reckon

#4 - Posted by: Angrybob (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 05:50

Answer: THEY WON'T!!! The lazy people at EA really don't care, as long as they get paid. -Angrybob

Proper training always helps. :)

 #6 - Posted by: Nitronumber9 (Staff) on 07-14-2008 at 07:20

If your that good you can survive a round without dying, go fight for king and country out in a war zone, lets see how good you are out there.

#7 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 07:39

Hahaha this might come as a shock Nitronumber9, but in real life people don't die in war zones as often as they do in battlefield games. But yeah- kind of a stark reminder that Battlefield was at it's best when it was more arcadey instead of realistic.

LOL, proper in game training for each weapon/ bots have real soldior names, they are actually good ideas.....would make SP games more fun, but anyway a great poll, one of the best i've seen on FF.

#9 - Posted by: superevilnastyman (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 08:52

i think the gun as the controller would be good takes me back to those gun controllers for the ps1-2

#10 - Posted by: CampingCarl (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 09:08

 #11 - Posted by: TLB_Pooky (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 10:35

how about, "they will bring the game out for pc"

 #12 - Posted by: greenfire07 (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 11:05

bf3 will be for pc, but its only coming out for vista and os X... but they wont make it realistic, they will probably add in a super bunny hopping ability where it bunny hops for you and guns take 3 clips to kill

 #13 - Posted by: cow_pie (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 13:23

i like the M4 idea but the realistic training like America's Army would be even better:rock::rock::beer:

 #14 - Posted by: witchunter180 (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 16:04

As much as I loved the "shipping good players off to a real war" answer, with the Wii out it seems like EA or somebody would develope a gun-controller, and not just a simple light-un either, something more innovative (although that would be too general of a design given what can be done in a BF game)

 #15 - Posted by: witchunter180 (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 16:08

Sorry for the double post, but America's Army already has something like the 'real' training missions that are required to play parts of the simulation. For instance, to be a medic, AA puts you through a simple first aid course to play as that class. Ergo some infringment may exist with that idea. Not a bad idea, though:borg:

By remaking BF42

 #17 - Posted by: XDragon5 (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 19:47

I think they should give the new game engine over to the people at PR, along with a couple million bucks.

 #18 - Posted by: dunk999999 (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 20:51

PR is hard, I like having a cross hair.

Guns now will really spit water in analogy with farting weapons of bf2.

 #20 - Posted by: M249_Guy (Member) on 07-15-2008 at 05:05

Facepaint, FTW Ok, seriously i would like to have training levels for weapons Improved, realistic recoil would be good as well @ 3, Yes i would prefer if they kept along the lines of the original Battlefield Series, add new features of course, but not to the extent that it will make the game like Call of Duty.

 #21 - ?? - Posted by: rocobest05 (Member) on 07-15-2008 at 06:49

and where is the option "If you die in the game, you die in the real life" ?? matrix style

#22 - Posted by: RussianComrade (Member) on 07-15-2008 at 06:58

Rather than ranking up to earn unlocks, people should have to rank up, and that will unlock a 'training course' for that weapon. Then, they must complete the training course for that weapon to a satisfactory standard (the bar is raised the higher the rank and the better the weapon) to unlock it for standard ingame use. Exceeding the mandatory 'pass' mark for the training unlocks further customisation for the weapons by way of camo schemes or various attachments (without hurting gameplay balance too much). Energy Airforce did this - when you unlocked a plane, you had to qualify with it on a training course before you could use it on the ingame missions. Heck, you had to pass a massive amount of training on the F-16C (default plane) before you could even touch the campaign. I'd like to see that implemented. Then people would have to actually be (reasonably) good with a weapon before they could take it into a fight.

They will "borrow" project reality for the beta, then remove the fun and add copyright to their stripped down pr files =]

#24 - Posted by: DxFlame (Member) on 07-15-2008 at 10:54

By using the Frostbite engine so we can have battlefield bad company for pc!, and destructable environments

 #25 - Posted by: AK74_Rifleman (Member) on 07-15-2008 at 21:14

Yeah i hope they'll make training missions and manual, plus realistic addons, but maintain classic bf style gameplay, i like it if it's detailed, with those computerized engagement mode on the Self-proppeled AA, (you can set it from auto, electro-optical, manual like in real life) but maintain those spawning and perhaps add destructible buildings & enviroment like crysis, and get the bf42 style back. Its simple but complex at the same time, with 64 bots all around. that i believe can make even better than bf42.

#26 - Srry for duoble post - Posted by: AK74_Rifleman (Member) on 07-15-2008 at 21:18

Sorry for the double post, but RussianComrade's right, why unlock on multiplayers? I mean 56k ers who don't stand a chance getting at least lieutenant, and unlock those new weapons, can't have it? It isn't fair isn't it? I suggest bring back 1942 campaign mode and unlock through the campaign, how fast is determined by the difficulty and your proggress.

 #27 - Posted by: marneus90 (Member) on 07-17-2008 at 13:52

 #28 - Posted by: Nitronumber9 (Staff) on 07-17-2008 at 15:59

#29 - Posted by: Grenademan (Member) on 07-18-2008 at 09:45

"Bots will have real soldier names." It would be nice. AIEV 1.3 will have some better sounding names at le ---- oops did I say that aloud? ;)

#30 - Ghost Recon - Posted by: DevilDogTDC (Member) on 07-19-2008 at 09:29

get GHost Recon, it has real names, training, and tactics:thumbsup:

 #31 - Posted by: greenfire07 (Member) on 07-19-2008 at 11:25

but of course, who cares if it is realistic or not, as long as it is fun and we can mod the hell out of it.

#32 - Posted by: RussianComrade (Member) on 07-19-2008 at 21:18

It would be nice. AIEV 1.3 will have some better sounding names at le ---- oops did I say that aloud? wink

 #35 - Posted by: Stgchuckles13 (Member) on 07-20-2008 at 08:26

I agree with #16

 #36 - Posted by: Flippy15 (Member) on 07-20-2008 at 10:26

eh...it wouldnt matter, cuz whatever they put in the game will be replaced by numerous patches.

 #37 - !! - Posted by: bob_345 (Member) on 07-20-2008 at 10:37

all of them

 #38 - realism - Posted by: godfather12m (Member) on 07-24-2008 at 02:41

OK LETS GET STARTED. Bots shouldnt see u if u r crouched or prone in the bushes unless they are close. they shouldnt see u at all if u r a sniper. then the reload should be like swat 4 's and not wasting bullets. finally the bots shgouldnt be so stupid and be in formations
