Another week another poll. Oh how I wish I had a time machine to shoot myself before making this poll... Then again that may cause some paradox causing the world to end.

Go backwards in time, and shoot whoever made this poll before they make it.

#4 - Posted by: Strybjorn (Member) on 03-16-2009 at 11:34
I would go forward in time, see what the winning numbers on the lotto are, and then go back and play it.

#5 - Posted by: jemsuper (Member) on 03-16-2009 at 11:36
there is a small problem: on the things you can juse out is 2 times go forwards and buy a pc out 2142

#6 - Posted by: Raygen (Member) on 03-16-2009 at 11:49
I would go forward in time and join Captain Jean-Luc Picard on the USS Enterprise.

#7 - Posted by: peregrineeagle (Member) on 03-16-2009 at 13:42
i'll just wait and see if i'm going to go back in time, cuz if i did go back, i've already done so, i just dont know it yet. paradoxes ftw.

I wouldn't use it because traveling through time would undoubtedly tear apart the fabric of space-time.

 #9 - Posted by: Fragboy_o_jedi (Member) on 03-16-2009 at 17:01
i wouldnt use it, as time travelling can cause serious plot failures! (see Red alert 3) and also, the poll maker repeated one option, LAME Editted by Nitronumber9 And thats another problem with time travel. Stuff can be cloned. It appears my messing with time travel created the same answer twice in this poll, should be fixed

Travel through time saving planets and civilisations like the Doctor in his TARDIS

You all want to kill the person who made this thread, but I know none of you have the balls... Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.Fail.

#12 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 03-17-2009 at 06:03
I could think of many, many, MANY interesting things I'd do if I had a time machine. Not a single one of those things are in the poll though.

Can you imagine a PC from the year 4219? They probably have 20-core CPUs with each core running at 9.6Ghz and 12-sli Nvidia cards with each card at 5GB of mem, a core speed of 4Ghz and a mem speed of 6 Ghz, that would be awesome!!!!

 #14 - doom - Posted by: Gandar (Member) on 03-17-2009 at 09:23
i would go into future , get a uber-gun , go back and kill all those Pirates , go to future , kill the guy i bought the gun from and take more ammo for more pirate killing and then steal money to get a PC for BF games!

#15 - Posted by: Raygen (Member) on 03-17-2009 at 10:35
Lol at #11, that entire option is a joke.

 #16 - Posted by: Nitronumber9 (Staff) on 03-17-2009 at 12:14
@CN (poster 13) Your clearly still stuck in the past mate. In 4219 Its 80 core CPU's each running at one teraflop. Nvidia & ATI would have gone bankrupt and so we all are using borg 9x2 GPU's each having 500gb of ram and a clocking speed of over 9000 ghz running in a collective setup of 1000 each. Thier slogan? We are the borg, Resistance is futile, You will be assimilated.:borg:

Dude, who here WOULDN'T get the uber PC? By that time, it's probably just a set of contacts - you stick them in, think the words "FLAME ON, BABY!"and it starts up, with several terrabytes of memory and such awesome graphics + CPU that I can't even imagine them. It would be pwnage. Your computer would play games not even invented, and make you able to fly. As an added bonus, you could use it as laser vision...

#18 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 03-17-2009 at 16:34
...but in the end, it's still a computer, and can't play any 'old' games that date back further than 4205. Also because of the massive amounts of energy it and everything else needs, household power points have been upgraded several times over, making the computer useless in the present day. Be careful what you wish for...

Go backwards in time, kill the guy who came up with the name "Battlefield 1943" and threaten to kill the rest of the bunch if they don't make more maps with bigger playercounts. Go forward again and ofcourse play the game which I'm satisfied with now ;)

 #20 - Posted by: Xenophon38 (Member) on 03-19-2009 at 09:29
I went to 4219 no one had seen a PC in 1700 years. Then I had to travel to 2519 to get one of the last ones, and they didn't take VISA. But I was able to sell my now extremely vintage clothes to get me one. So I got home dressed in a disposable gown carrying my new PC. But unfortunately CD tech had been obsolete for over 300 years and I have no way to load any games, but the telekinetic mouse is pretty cool. Fortunately, it also has it's own power source because the outlet it takes doesn't exist yet. P. S. Invest in bauxite, you'll thank me later.

Go Back in Time and see Jimmy Hendrix live at Woodstock

Go forwards or backwards and mess with some guy named 'Marty' and tell him "it's his kids".

 #23 - Posted by: Lt_Taco (Member) on 03-19-2009 at 18:10
Only 28 people get the "Sound of Thunder" reference. That's sad.

 #24 - Posted by: C2HSteve (Member) on 03-20-2009 at 03:13
I got it #23, I just wanted my Uber PC.

 #25 - Posted by: C2HSteve (Member) on 03-20-2009 at 03:16
Plus, true the Uber PC would be too advanced to play any of today's games, but you can also buy Uber Video games.....and with 150 people wanting the Uber PC's also we could have a small online community to fight, while all others watch in envy!

#26 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 03-20-2009 at 03:56
Sound of thunder? Don't you mean the butterfly effect? And no, I don't mean the movie, it was round before that too. Remember Homer's toaster, for example? And anyway you can 'get' something without voting for it you know... Wundai- why not just go forward in time to 1943's launch, collect all the 'what were they thinking' reviews you can find then go back in time and the moment it's first suggested you burst through the doors and fling the reviews on the conference table for them to look at?

 #27 - Posted by: Nitronumber9 (Staff) on 03-20-2009 at 05:06
@26's Wundai comment Wouldn't that cause a paradox because to do that the game first has to come out. If the game never came out because you showed the reviews from when it came out to Dice. You wouldn't need to get the reviews thus you have gone and broken time... Again. And has no one spotted my referance to last weeks poll yet?

#28 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 03-20-2009 at 05:54
Nah- I'm of the school of thought that thinks that would just create a new branching timeline, with a different future to the one I came from. And I can't really say I spotted a reference to last weeks' poll- I was too busy wondering where all those pies had gone...

 #29 - Posted by: Fragboy_o_jedi (Member) on 03-20-2009 at 08:36
just because i voted twice for some wicked reason Dont mess with time, it causes Time-fail Paradoxes that crush all continuity in the space-time-failure-pwnage-continuum

 #30 - Posted by: Michael_Mikes (Member) on 03-20-2009 at 14:21
No way man time travel is dangerous, as Fragboy said ''it causes Time-fail Paradoxes that crush all continuity in the space-time-failure-pwnage-continuum''. And that Uber PC sounds good if it wasn't based off Vista!

 #31 - Posted by: sideshow_bob (Member) on 03-22-2009 at 16:08
go forwards in time and get lottery numbers (all of them)

 #32 - Posted by: Adrian858 (Member) on 03-23-2009 at 00:20
I would go back and re-live the good ol' days of Desert Combat, and such... Makes me feel emo just thinking about it...
