Thank you to computernerd for sending this poll idea to UGSAce which he fwded to me. Please send me, Thats me, Nitronumber9 your poll ideas, not UGSAce, he only forwards them onto me Anyway, for me its gotta be the single player. I prefer playing alone, then again theres only a few things funnier than running people over.

#2 - Posted by: Timinem (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 08:44

SP content for sure. And pie. There is not enough pie.

#3 - Posted by: computernerd (Staff) on 11-10-2008 at 08:46

No problem, I was just getting tired of seeing that same one over and over:p

#4 - Posted by: heydabop (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 09:17

SP, they need to make it so the bots "see". So if you shoot them while peeking from behind a building they don't all instantly headshot you. I don't know how hard it is to do this though.

#5 - Posted by: computernerd (Staff) on 11-10-2008 at 09:26

that's pretty hard to do:)

#6 - Posted by: EvilBunny (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 10:15

Realism, seriously.. i'm fed up with vanilla bf's so i've moved on to the mod areas.

#7 - Posted by: AussieGeneral (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 13:21

All battlefield really needs a tune up i mean its still brought a smile to my face i hope they will realize that in battlefield 3 also anyone know when heroes is out its gonna be sweet:D

Single Player Weapons and Vehicles:rock::rock::beer:

#9 - Posted by: Soveriegn (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 15:14

I would choose.....pie, I mean I don't know why you guys want realism, I mean its a video game, video games are not 100%, if you want realism sign up for a war and go fight, theres your realism. There is only so much that you can do on a computer, so realism makes a game more boring instead of fun as you have to concentrate too much instead of enjoying it.

#10 - Posted by: MatmanDude (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 16:18

More Storyline. Kinda like they did with Battlefront 2. They added a cool story to a big-battle, shooter-upper, FPS, third person fighter, flight simulator game.

#11 - Posted by: computernerd (Staff) on 11-10-2008 at 16:50

except battlefield 2 is better :p

#12 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 17:04

No doubt about it- singleplayer has always been battlefield's weakest area (though I haven't played bad company and it's meant to do it pretty well) and it's about time it got an overhaul. Major points for at least having bots in the game unlike some shooters (yeah I'm looking at you, Halo/COD) but they really need to be more like the UT2004 bots, which are outstanding. And F%^& realism. I play games to escape that bile. bf1942 had a perfect arcade balance with it's vehicles and weapons, and the second they made it more realistic for bf2 that equilibrium just went right out the window. Don't get me started on how tedious jets are. Dogfighting sucks, they wipe out ground units with near impunity, and every 15 secs you have to come hard about to avoid flying off the map. Having to crouch to shoot accurate = tedious, artillery strikes = tedious, lying on the ground waiting for a medic to revive you is downright mind numbing. You can keep your war simulators to yourself. For me and many others battlefield is at it's best when it's fast and furious, with all sorts of vehicles going at it, with each having workable tactics to fend off the rest.

#13 - Posted by: Soveriegn (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 17:33

Yeah some better ai in the game would be pretty cool and not so accurate with getting a head shot with a smg from afar.

 #14 - @13 - Posted by: computernerd (Staff) on 11-10-2008 at 18:48

I know what you mean I hate that

 #15 - Posted by: CaF_Phantom (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 20:42

Instead of choosing weapons packs....you would choose a gun....a secondary and a ...medkit/at/engineer/whatever......

#16 - Posted by: thecheeseman (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 20:47

why not make battlefield more like call of duty 1/2 and a bit like 4? i mean that in the singleplayer/mutiplayer aspects. keep multiplayer like BF1942 was. singleplayer needs to have SMART AI that will follow orders, follow you, etc. vehicles are fine, airplanes are fine, just update the graphics. more weapon choices, maybe your own kit with your special weapons. but still with that Battlefield feel to it. might be a change... lol just my idea

#17 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 11-10-2008 at 21:19

Part of the appeal of battlefield over other wargames is the fact that it's all emergent gameplay- non scripted. That's the main thing that set it apart from MOH and COD. You take away that and it's just like them. I'd like a singleplayer more like codename eagle's- which is more similar to mercenaries or far cry 2- you've got your objective, your vehicles around and enemies on patrol all over, and it's entirely up to you how you go about it

 #18 - other - Posted by: Gandar (Member) on 11-11-2008 at 04:52

i voted for other as make it PC friendly ( a lot more friendly :D like medium can run on a Office computer like 1.6ghz Crap with 512MB RAM and a 128MB video card.. lower than Radeon x1550 or Gefore 7XXX or something ) so we dont have *censored* screaming on people with low-end comps! and to make em Double check their bugs and A.I

 #19 - Posted by: fromage99 (Member) on 11-11-2008 at 08:21

I would like more single player content, like a non-online account. More realism, I love realism, but as long as it doesn't slow down gameplay too much.

#20 - Posted by: Orchidea (Member) on 11-11-2008 at 08:54

only so few pies?

#21 - Posted by: thecheeseman (Member) on 11-11-2008 at 10:53

i'd go for pie if you could throw it at people

#22 - Posted by: Soveriegn (Member) on 11-11-2008 at 11:17

We need the pies, to throw them at the guys who just love realism. I hate realism, in moderate amounts yes, but when you need to do extreme tactics, to take down 1 enemy soldier it gets boring with the fact the PC is not a PS3, it doesn't work the same way. SO HERES TO THE PIE!! THROW PIES!!

 #23 - Singleplayer?? you serious? - Posted by: R0UGHR1D3R (Member) on 11-11-2008 at 15:21

I think single player is the last thing battlefield needs, it's a multiplayer game, for online. Of course single player is battlefield's weakest spot, single playing sucks! just straight up sucks, if anyone wanted to play a single player game, they could just pick up COD4. It's got to be about improving the online stuff.

 #24 - Posted by: kamikaziwatermelon1234 (Member) on 11-12-2008 at 13:24

PIE!!!!!!!!!111 MUST HAVE MORE PIE!!!!1 but more ads would be good, gotta love in game advertising lol not

 #25 - Posted by: yam52 (Member) on 11-12-2008 at 21:55

realism, weapons, vehicles and ofc, PIES!. :P

#26 - Posted by: Soveriegn (Member) on 11-12-2008 at 22:27

Realism = Boo....*throws Pie* WE NEED FOOD IN GAME!! Its odd how NO ONE gets hungry in game, soldiers need to eat to. Also to escape, throw a pie in their face blind them.

#27 - Posted by: panzerputney (Member) on 11-13-2008 at 02:28

ADVERTISMENTS! just to piss every1 off

100% disagree.

Some people can't get access to good internet or just prefer to not play online. Singleplayer is important in any game, and it worked fine in Bad Company.

Also, picking up CoD4 is NOT a substitute for Battlefield. Small maps, run & gun, no vehicles to play around with. Sure, that's fine, but I'd enjoy a, y'know, Battlefield game? One with open environments for flanking/moving about a bit more, aircraft to fly and all that.

 #29 - VEHICLES - Posted by: NFC_Pickard (Member) on 11-13-2008 at 08:07

Vehicles. Vehicles. Vehicles. Vehicles. Vehicles. Vehicles. Vehicles. BF2 lost its way. Remember when there was so many vehicles there were leftovers? Remember Desert Combat and the rows upon rows of tanks and other vehicles? Now, its all infantry. 2 tanks per side. 2 planes and a small amount of jeeps/bmp's or what not. For those that want realism, what do you want? 20 min pre-flight checks? Traffic control? Having to build up barbwire fencelines/sandbags? Dig trenches? Logistical squads who's only job is to run supplies to the frontline? Everyone says they want realism, but the truth is they would never play it, or they would be playing it in ArmA or getting pumped about the new OpFor 2. Ppl want realism, but only certain things. They want their gun to pop someones head off easily, or very immersive graphics, neither of which have much to do with realistic gameplay.

You know Russian, you could go and make some bigger maps for CoD4... I'm sure people wouldn't mind :P

#31 - Posted by: thecheeseman (Member) on 11-13-2008 at 14:52

sry for double post but i forgot to add And yes, you are right Russian. CoD4 =/= Battlefield

 #32 - ATTENTION - Posted by: GENERALHOLT (Member) on 11-13-2008 at 16:12

REMAKE BATTLEFIELD 1942!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rock::rock::rock:

#33 - Posted by: Soveriegn (Member) on 11-13-2008 at 16:17

Or, we should make our own game and combine all the good stufff and take out the bad stuff, of course put in PIES to eat, look at and throw.

#34 - Posted by: GENERALHOLT (Member) on 11-13-2008 at 16:19

:donut::donut::r this is what happens if you have too much of a good thing

 #35 - #32 - Posted by: Michael_Mikes (Member) on 11-13-2008 at 20:48

Agreed mate

 #36 - Posted by: AK74_Rifleman (Member) on 11-14-2008 at 07:29

Realism is okay for me, but not so realistic that a battle of 16 players would last like ten hours. Okay for more realistic planes, vehicles & weapons, but not so detailed that it makes the battlefield one big huge sim game put together. SP should come to focus, say add a story for SP campaign (PLS EA/DICE) like in BFBC, but with rank system too. But don't remove the original 'BF style' SP skirmish too... MP is good, well beyond most other games of the same genre for BF 2, no need much improvements. One more thing: PLS make it a little more serious (like CoD 4, that means to kill that crazy physics where people got flown like twenty meters just because a jeep rammed them at full speed)

#37 - Posted by: AMANIAC (Member) on 11-14-2008 at 08:28

I actually think battlefield needs a bit more LEROY JEEENKINNS!!!! To be honest.

#38 - Posted by: EvilBunny (Member) on 11-15-2008 at 13:09

I mean realism as in not have to shoot a guy with 5 rounds in the head before he flinches. Edit by Computernerd: Watch the language i hate vanillabf.

#39 - Posted by: AMANIAC (Member) on 11-15-2008 at 17:33

I prefer shooting soldiers' head off than realism. I want to go back to the crazy stunts of bf1942.

#40 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 11-15-2008 at 21:31

amen to that, AMANIAC

#41 - Posted by: Soveriegn (Member) on 11-16-2008 at 00:38

Once again, I still want my pies in game. But if everybody wants realism, how bout if a person gets shot, they bleed, if they bleed, they leave a trail..or to death. But if they want to stop the bleeding, they have to play a minigame to stop the bleeding which takes about a minute and the enemy can STILL kill you. Theres your realism...*throws pie*...and theres your pie.

#42 - Posted by: Bacons (Member) on 11-16-2008 at 09:25

If Bf2 had the custom kits like COD4, it would be one hell of a game. Yes also more realistic as well but that can still be fun.

#43 - Posted by: Soveriegn (Member) on 11-16-2008 at 19:26

Realism = not fun *throws pie* Video games are not real, so why would it play real? We can only do so much with a controller, and so much with a keyboard.

#44 - Posted by: computernerd (Staff) on 11-16-2008 at 19:43

True, but the point is: some people look for realistic combat games to get even a small taste of what true combat is like, games like america's army are designed for this purpose. I know what you're thinking "If you want true combat go join the army/marines," but that's what some people, myself included, look for in certain games. Perceptum?

#45 - Posted by: computernerd (Staff) on 11-16-2008 at 19:45

Quod etiam , EGO quoque amo pie Guess what that means, go on
