Zero skin
By: =]BcBG[=Marie-Solange

This is a skin for the A6M2 Zero in Pacific theater. There is not much much work on this one, for I just modified the blue strips, but it is now a quite real A6M2 "Reisen" from the Hiryu Carrier. This planes belong to the 2nd Sentaï of the 1st Koku Kantaï (that's what the blue strips says... ;-p). The real id number on the tail should be BII-1 44, but for the purpose of the skin I had to changed it...

You can also find a modified object.con files to give your Zero a better armament with 4 guns instead of two (see ZeroGuns.jpg). In fact the A6M2 had two 7.7mm guns on the nose and two 20mm in the wings. You can only use it if you have decompressed the Object.rfa file. Otherwise I will probably do an rfa file for it... Later...

Installation:
(I assume that everyone has downloaded the RFA Extractor by now)
(If you have decompressed the texture.RFA file)

1.) To install this skin you should put the Zero01_o.dds and lod_Zero_H.dds files in your Battlefield's texture folder, or only in the Pacific texture folder in these case they shall not erase the old skin.

2.) Start up the game and have fun. : )

(If you have not decompressed the texture.RFA file)

1.) To install, you must use Moseley's .RFA Extractor
(located here: http://www.bf1942files.com/file.info?ID=5889)

2.) Use Moseleys .RFA extractor, simply open the program, open the texture.rfa and you will see a big list of files. Click export all files and choose your battlefield folder (C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942" by default)

3.) Then you should remove the texture.rfa (DO NOT DELETE) just move it somewhere else out of the battlefield archives folder so that the game looks at the extracted folder instead.

4.) The extracted directory structure looks something like this:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\texture

5.) Place the Zero01_o.dds and lod_Zero_H.dds files in the texture folder, or in the Pacific texture folder.

6.) Start up the game and enjoy.
