File Description

An Alaska map for BF1942 and Desert Combat. Six capturable flags, vehicles for air, land , and sea, and cold winter weather so bundle up tight.

The war in the Pacific is not going well. The Imperial Japanese Navy have launched an invasion on Alaska. Stop tinkering with that A-bomb and grab a rifle...

This is a conquest/assault map, taking place in the southwestern portion of the state of Alaska. The map is not to scale... obviously. It's at least a thousand times smaller than it should be, but I doubt anyone will care. No care was taken to research the layout of the towns/cities in Alaska, just their relative positions and names.

The allied Objective is to keep the Japanese off the shores. Simple as that. The Japanese must control all 6 control points to cause a rapid ticket bleed of 1 per second.**

Special conditions:

-The Japanese Naval Units do not respawn, except for the northern destroyer, but it takes a while.

-The American Battleship does not respawn.*

-If the Japanese control Dillingham, the American destroyer will not respawn.

-If the Japanese control Port Heiden the American submarine will not respawn.

-Because the Japanese have two aircraft carriers at the start of the game, the selectable spawn point for them is always between their positions until one is destroyed. Don't worry, you won't spawn in the water, but you have no way of choosing which carrier you'll spawn on. No matter where you position the carriers, the selectable spawn points will not overlap any you might control on the land. Nobody likes a plane camper, get on the AA while you wait,or take a landing craft and try to claim a control point with planes, if you want one that badly.

I don't suppose I need to mention that this never really happened...

(Also Included, a small file thet makes this map compatable with the popular
Desert Combat Alpha mod version .38)

Same deal, 50 years later... but with Iraqis... and Apaches.

You will need the Battlefield 1942 version of the map for this to work.
