The goal of the mod is to bring as many visual enhancements to the game as possible. Battlefield: High Definition was developed and tested by Lieutenant Clone (Dennis Robinson) of Beach Assault Studios. The modification brings the following enhancements to Battlefield 1942: * Drastically increased view distances * Increased the rendering quality of the terrain * Increased the rendering distance of most vehicles * Most vehicles will stay on the map permanently when destroyed * Dead bodies remain for five minutes (you will rarely see them disappearing) * Added blood effects * Added third person view * Many more minor tweaks License Agreement: You may not re-release any part of Battlefield: High Definition, in part or whole, without exclusive permission from Beach Assault Studios President, Dennis Robinson. <b>CHANGELOG</b> # Version 1.0 ################################################## - Removed startup movies - Changed menu and load music - Changed some English text strings in the menu and game - Added branding in the menu - Added Battle_Of_Britain to the single player campaign list - Added 3rd person view to players - Removed reverse 3rd person and fly-by views from all vehicles - Added Blood Effects - Added a horn to all scout vehicles - Increased view distances on all maps drastically --- Increased physical heightmap size on Coral Sea, Invasion of the Philippines, Iwo Jima and Wake Island - Increased the rendering quality of the terrain drastically in all levels - Increased the rendering distance of most vehicles - Changed all land and air, as well as most sea vehicles to remain when destroyed - Changed bodies to remain for five minutes - Moved ship back further on Omaha_Beach - Moved ships back further on wake conquest - Changed detail.dds to a more appropriate texture on Aberdeen
