Yes, this is named after that awesome mission from BF2: Modern Combat for consoles.  No, it's not the same.  I would never be able to do that awesomely awesome level of awesomeness justice.

Now that I've used my daily quota of awesome...

This is a little map I made for testing the landing craft AI, because they're cantankerous at best.  While the AI still isn't flawless in this map, is the closest I've ever got to actually making them work.  That makes it sound like the AI is shocking, which is probably a bit of bad advertising on my part.  Meh.  They do their job well enough, by my standards.

There are 3 control points in villages along the beach.  You can land almost anywhere on the beaches and attack from there.  The team that controls at least 2 of the points will start ticket bleed for the opposing team.

All of the Japanese Daihatsu landing craft are mobile spawnpoints.  There are initially only 2, so at the start of the match if you don't spawn instantly the bots will take all the seats.  You'll be unable to spawn until the next wave of landing craft spawn (6 landing craft in total, for 36 seats) or a seat is free in an existing one.  Even after landing, the craft will act as a mobile spawn point if it's not destroyed.

Move 'Beach_Party.rfa' to your levels directory, in my case:

C: -> Program Files -> EA Games -> Battlefield 1942 -> Mods -> bf1942 -> Archives -> bf1942 -> levels

For uninstalling, just delete the RFA file. Oh wow, that was hard.


You can give it out to your friends, edit it, or make new maps based on it but just don't take credit for stuff you didn't do, or make money out of it.  I wouldn't appreciate that.
