Battlefield 1942 just keeps on getting better.

The February 2003 release of the follow-up expansion pack ROAD TO ROME will I hope just be one of a number in the works.Here's a few ideas I think we'd like to see made into new SP maps.

Dieppe[France] - Summer 1942
(Allies amphibious landing,with paratroopers against a well defended German occupied Seaport) 

Huertgen Forest [Germany]- Winter 1944
(American Infantry attack the German West Wall defences in a dense forest)

Cherkassy Pocket[Ukraine] - Winter 1944
(Russians have encircled the German 5th SS Panzer Div,the Germans must survive and escape to the West)

for my contribution today i've done a little change to the BERLIN SP map.After playing the Germans against superior Russian forces and getting my butt whopped I decided what was needed was to beef up the number of Axis forces,to that end I've added more PanzerIV's to control point 3.SEE screenshot..

To work it,create a folder tree from inside a 3rd party mod that looks like this

Battlefield1942\bf1942\mods\???\archive\bf1942\levels  

drop the Berlin.rfa into the levels folder and that should do it.BTW I've not tried this on Vers 1.3 just 1.2 and it works fine,as you will see from the screenshot.

Even though BF 1942 RTR is refered to as vers 1.25 in the game I've still managed to get my prevoius SfxEx mod to work on the new RTR SP maps,edited the new vehicles,weapons and planes.Modified the sounds of the STEN  the BREDA to give e'm more oomp.and made new textures for each.no drama's
