I have to say this map is very impressive. Especially for a first outing. Excellent attention to detail and some nice enviroment tweaks make playing this a pleasure. Border War is set in the mountains with the Germans squaring off against the Russians. The textures are extremely well done and each checkpoint is intresting and different. The gem here is the center of the map where the actuall "border" is. Smoking artillery craters, barb wire, tank ops, and .50 cals in the bunkers will make crossing fun. Special mention should be made for the lighting, shadows and vertex fog used in this map. The developer has combined these elements to generate an impressive backdrop of scenary. The church bell is a very nice touch too. I highly recommend checking this one out. It is excellent work.
