Chance Vought F4U-1 Corsair Skin UPDATED I toned down the blue and made it a little darker, also corrected filename Accuracy of this skin is unknown, I painted a model these colors once when i was a kid. Based on a modified BF1942 Skin, Modified once by Lobo, Modified again by Mayhem. Thanks to Dice for making it all happen To install the skin: 1. Extract the .dds files to the folder of your choice. 2. Open texture.rfa (.../archives) with RFA Explorer (download it from http://www.bamsoft.org). Go to the "texture" directory in the archive. 3. Select "insert" from the File menu then select the f4u1_main_I.dds file you extracted in step 1. 4. Open menu.rfa and go to the directory .../menu/texture/weapon. 5. Insert the file icon_corsair.dds You should now be able to run the BF1942 Wake map and see the new vehicle skin. (Keep a backup copy of texture.rfa and menu.rfa if you want to be able to revert to the original vehicle skins) Alternate Installation Method... Using RFA Extracter, decompress texture.rfa file into Root directory of game eg. D:\bf1942 You should end up with d:\bf1942\texture open texture folder, and rename original f4u1_main_I.dds to something you can remember Unzip New skin to any folder, copy and paste f4u1_main_I.dds to bf1942\texture folder enjoy your new skin, assuming you did everything right Mayhem Mayhem Mods http://BF1942Mods.50megs.com firstname.lastname@example.org
