IMPERIAL JADE SQUADRON
----- About this file:
I wanted a chrome green Japanese flying squadron, and this is what I came up with...hope you enjoy it :)
Aichi VAL sports a chrome green paint job, new stripes on the body and prop, minor changes to the cockpit, "fighting spirit" decal on the tail, and Oz rims :)
Zero sports a chrome green paint job on the body and prop, revamped stripes, minor changes to the cockpit, a new cockpit glass design, "fighting spirit" decal on the tail, chrome guns, and Oz rims :)
----- Using this file: I am unfamiliar with the Merciless Mod for Battlefield, so I am sure there is another (better?) way of doing this...but I prefer unpacking/packing my own .rfa files. Neither of the programs I use require M$FT .NET software :) so go grab 'em... Use RAT [http://sourceforge.net/projects/r2at/] to uppack your 'textures.rfa' file [found in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives] to any drive on your computer. RAT will automatically create the "texture" folder when you unpack. Rename the original 'textures.rfa' archive to 'textures.old'. Extract the included .dds file(s) from the .zip archive to the texture folder. Overwrite the existing .dds files or move them to a safe location prior to extracting these files. Use GMakeRFA [http://www.uni-q.dk/bhdmod/files/GMakeRfa.exe] to repack your 'textures.rfa' file, and place in your Battlefield folder [C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives]. Play the game! takiwa firstname.lastname@example.org
