Dude on the Porch brought us the skin manager and now he brings us this, Loading Screen Manager 1.1.
What does this file do you ask?
Simply, You upload images you download or make into it, then it places them in correct folder they are supposed to be in, instead of having to do it yourself...you lazy bastards :P
created by a Dude on the Porch DCF Load Screen Manager 1.1 INSTALL VERSION 1.0 FIRST!! adds support new maps in DC .6F Tired of looking at that same old screen while your map loads, well now you can change it. No need to extract and repack rfas, "drag n' drop" your favorite images. Use any image you want as your load screen. ====== To Install =====Just run the .exe, it will find proper the directory and install to it To remove use your add/remove or run the uninstaller in your main BF folder ===== How to use ====Navigate to the DCF_LoadScreenMananger folder in your main BF directory. Inside you will find the images I have included (random screenshots and real photos). Just rename your image after the map you want to use it on. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE IN .TGA FORMAT. Default size is 800x600, your image will be shrunk or stretched to that size. Sometimes your image will may appear upside down. Im not 100% sure what casuses this. It seems to be the options you use when saving it. I have started using 24 bits/pixel and no compression and it hasnt happened since. ===== ATTENTION ===If you have named your image wrong you will see a gray screen, there is a text doc in the folder giving all the legal names, check for spelling, underscores in the right place, so on ... You MUST have an image in the Load Screen folder for each map or you will see a gray screen. Deleting the image in this folder will not show the default one. and as always the first of many shameless plugs for the website..... visit DCFiles @ www.2xtream.com for all your Desert Combat needs.
