============== BATTLEFIELD ============== xxx 1942 xxx ============== ======== Merciless Creations Historic BloodFX v1.0 (Standalone) ========= Look for other Merciless Creations releases <a href="http://www.bf1942files.com/file.stuff?MercilessCreations">here</a>. Compatibility: -------------------- This addon will work with the North American and European Battlefield 1942 Retail versions 1.2. You must have the 1.2 patch applied to use this addon. This is a client-side mod and no other patches, addons or mods are required by the server. If you have patched your Battlefield 1942 with patch version higher than 1.2, please check for a download of a newer version of this addon designed for later 1942 patches if it is available (or needed). About this addon: --------------------- This addon will add realistic blood to your 1942 game. This will work online single player and multiplayer. You must remove other blood mods to avoid conflicts. ====================== About the BloodFX: ====================== This addon is included with the Merciless 1942 Version 3.5 or available stand alone. This new feature took 5 days and many many many hours of painful trial and error to get just right. We hope that it makes everyone excited using it as much as it does for us. Never before has blood in 1942 looked so real with collision detection particle effects. Once you snipe an enemy from a valley away and see the blood drip off the falling corpse... well... you will mercilessly laugh in glee.... Thanks to MDK for his initial code to help us get inspired to attempt the particle fx and his help in working with the tough undocumented scripting code. ;) The BloodFX addon MUST be left in the "\Battlefield 1942\Mods\BF1942" folder. It cannot be placed in the "\Mods" folder by itself or it will not work. Thats the way it is... Play the game! =============== Installation: =============== Extract these files to a folder ("C:\Temp" for example), if you're using WinZip, make sure that "Use Folder Names" is checked. Once Extracted, you should see a new "Mods" folder at "C:\Temp\Mods". You should see the following. "C:\Temp\Mods\BF1942\MC1942_Bloodfx\archives" Inside your new "archives" folder, you should have these two files: objects.rfa TEXTURE.rfa Select the new "Mods" folder and copy it. Paste it into your game folder at "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942" This will copy a "\MC1942_Bloodfx" folder to your "\BF1942" folder. This MUST go here.. no other place. Edit your "\Mods\BF1942\init.con" file and add the following line to your list of mods getting loaded... "game.addModPath "Mods/BF1942/MC1942_Bloodfx/" Make sure it is before the "game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/" line and below the "game.setCustomGameName BF1942" line. Therefore, the first 3 lines of your init.con file should look like this: game.setCustomGameName BF1942 game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/MC1942_Bloodfx/ game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/ Enjoy the new BloodFX! ===================================== Team 'Merciless Creations' is: Prowlinger, Lead Developer Killah, Lead Artist CAP, Lead Map Developer ===================================== Questions / Sugestions?
