Now this is a very, very excellent skin! I don't think the screens will do it justice so please get it and see for yourself!

If you havent got any skins yet, this is the one to start with. It replaces the Mustang P-51D with a shiney new skin that i think everyone will enjoy! I know i will :D

Heres a better look and some info about the skin, but dont wait, grab it while its hot!!

                     BF1942 Mustang P-51D "Big Beautiful Doll"

Description:  This is a reskin of the P-51 to look like Col. John Landers’ P-51 while with the 357th Fighter Group.  The texture was almost completely hand made using the original p-51 textures as a guide.  I used the originals in a few places for some of the other details like landing gear and the interior.  

NOTE: To get the "shiney" effect in your game, you will need "Environmental Mapping" turned on. This will slow your system down using that feature since it pushes alot more detail.  


Installation:  To install, you must use Moseley's .RFA Extractor (located here: http://www.bf1942files.com/file.info?ID=5889)

How to extract written by Llama on Bf1942.com's forums:

Use Moseleys .RFA extractor, simply open the program, open the rfa and you will see a big list of files. Click export all files and choose your battlefield folder ("C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942" by default), do this with all the .RFA files you want.

Then you must rename the old .RFA files so that the game looks at the extracted one instead.

example: Extract objects.rfa and rename it to objects.rfa.old

The extracted directory structure looks something like this:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\texture


Just place the .dds files in the texture folder and that is it!  You will have a shiney new P-51 to fly around in.
