ARRRRRRR!! The pirates of Cut Throat Bay and beyond love their pillaging and plundering.  But sometimes a bit more speed is needed than a trusty dinghy can provide.  And what about when the wind isn’t right for ballooning?  

Times like this cause for a change and thus, Mech Pirates are born.  Who needs a balloon when you have a CT Jet Fighter?  Her falconets will ruin someone’s day.  And nothing gets a raiding party into Scurvy Cove faster than a Huey.  And the Huey can’t go in unprotected, so our wise pirates threw a couple 8 pound cannons on each door.

Cannons on tank chassis? Skeletons with bazookas?  My god!! Pigs have flown, hell has frozen over and Axe has stopped being a Falc Whore.  This is the alternate universe to everything known to Battlefield Pirates.  The known Pirate factions have taken over the known world and now fight for complete domination.


ABOUT
This is the first public release of the Pirates Fun Mod.  Previous versions were played in house of the Cut Throat clan for fun and testing.  Are the weapons historically accurate?  No.  This mod is all about having fun.  Mixing it up and doing something different.

Pirates Fun Mod is about 65% pirates, 12% modernization, 20% WWII, 13% Surreal and 100% nuts!

INSTALLATION
Installation is easy.  Just unzip the Pirates_Funmod.zip into the mods folder of BF1942.  DO NOT put it in the BF Pirates folder.  You need BF Pirates to play Fun Mod; however, it is standalone in the mods folder.

WHAT HAS CHANGED?
What hasn’t changed would be a shorter write-up.


- 24pdrs and Fortress Cannons have different tank chassis’s now. 24pdr has a chi-cha tread, and Fortress Cannons have Tiger treads
-new skin for hover jet, and a new name to it and other things as well (it’s now called the CT Fighter)

-New Jet effect added to CT Fighter

24pdrs and Fortress cannons more effective against helo's and CT Fighters (Fortress cannons can kill a Huey with a single,VERYwell-placed shot) 


-Drunkards can now explode as a secondary attack. This kills them too, and yes it counts as a self kill (meaning you get -2 points each time it’s used... this is done on purpose to prevent n00bs from abusing it. HINT: use only when you’re getting gang raped by3ormoreenemiesatonce.) 

- Cannoners no longer spawn 8pdrs. Instead, they have bazookas that shoot cannon rounds. You only get two shots though. As for the 8pdrs on maps like CTC and BBB, They become Kettenkrads with 8pdrs in the back. 

- Galleons Double as both Carriers AND battleships, they carry both a lot of guns, and a Huey helicopter. Note only the default Red galleon and blue galleon carries the Huey, not the black dolphin or Putrid Porpoise. 

- CT Fighters (12pdr towers) can now carry bombs (they carry mortar type bombs, not balloon type bombs.) 

- Fixed an issue on the Huey where the bomb would explode underneath the aircraft. 

- Raider Grenades are now refillable

- Iwo Jima is now a Pirates Fun Mod compatible map.
