It's predominantly close-quarters city fighting, but for tankers there is a few armoured vehicles to take advantage of. However, be careful, as any wily soldier will be able to easily outflank you by going through buildings and getting above or behind you to destroy your tank with a single well-placed shot. Infantry combat is the most fun part of the map, however. It's possible to be quite stealthy in this map, again sneaking through buildings and rubble for cover to get behind enemy lines and do a bit of sabotage or sneaky killing. Pickup kits are scattered around the map - check the enclosed 'map.jpg' image to see a general indication of where the pickup kits are. ===================================== RussianComrade's Notes, Hints & Tips: ===================================== Toucinator, being a friend of mine, knew of my skills in making SP maps for BF1942. He got me to add SP to Toujane and touch up anything I might want to. I added the SP support, loading screen, map thumbnail, object shadows, and terrain shadows. There was also a little bit of tweaking that needed to be done and the map ran smoothly. As a reference to Call of Duty 2, I also changed two of the British bots to have the names of the two player British characters in CoD2. Favourite Vehicle for the map: It would have to be the Panzer IIIJ in FH. A nice all-rounder tank that can deal quite a bit of damage. Favourite kit for the map: By far the Panzerschreck kit in FH. The Panzerschreck is the only infantry AT weapon in the map that can be used at range, unlike the Geballte Ladung and No.73 AT grenades which have to be thrown. The one disadvantage is that the kit has very little to offer by way of anti-infantry capabilities. For general infantry fighting, anything that has a good-ranged powerful weapon like a rifle is suitable. Top Strategy: Go for the Factories straight away, no matter what team you are (as British, you may want to take German Ambush first though). Capping the Factories will give you a car, a stationary machine gun, a sniper rifle kit, a LMG kit, easy access to a medic locker, two ammoboxes un the vicinity, and most importantly, a defensible position. ==================== INSTALLING THE MAP ==================== For the Vanilla version, move the file 'Toujane_Tunisia.rfa' to your BF1942 Levels directory, which is generally: C: -> Program Files -> EA Games -> Battlefield 1942 -> Mods -> bf1942 -> Archives -> bf1942 -> levels For Road to Rome mod support, open the folder named 'RTR' and move 'Toujane_Tunisia_000.rfa' to the Road to Rome levels directory: C: -> Program Files -> EA Games -> Battlefield 1942 -> Mods -> XPack1 -> Archives -> bf1942 -> levels For Secret Weapons mod support, open the folder named 'SW' and move 'Toujane_Tunisia_001.rfa' to the Secret Weapons levels directory: C: -> Program Files -> EA Games -> Battlefield 1942 -> Mods -> XPack2 -> Archives -> bf1942 -> levels For Forgotten Hope 0.7 mod support, open the folder named 'FH 0.7' and move 'Toujane_Tunisia_002.rfa' to the FH levels directory: C: -> Program Files -> EA Games -> Battlefield 1942 -> Mods -> FH -> Archives -> bf1942 -> levels ================= LEGAL INFORMATION ================= ======= CREDITS ======= FourCentsShy, for the GenPathMaps pathmapping tool HellishER, for the Singleplayer tools
