This will make the Jeep more battle-hardened than it was originally. Gotta love the bumper caption :D
Here's a pic:
Requiers RFA Extractor v1.1 TITLE: Weathered_willys_skin TYPE: Skin file FORMATT: .dds EDITED BY: -WOODY- ( [BFN]-WOODY- ) CONTACT: steve wood [email protected] COMMENTS: Who has ever seen a pristine jeep on the front lines of battle? I haven't, which is why I've made a few changes ( without getting carried away ). I've added a little wear and tear with a few bullet holes for good measure. I've also increased the detail in the wheels to make it look a little more realistic because it looked too simple and cartoony for my taste. I also added a few rips in the seats. P.S. The little note on the dash says "Dear God please protect this vehicle" hehe. INSTUCTIONS: First you will need the RFA Extractor program which you can find here http://www.bf42.cjb.net/ Open the RFA Extactor progam. Click on "file" then "open". Next, search in c:\program files\ea games\battlefield 1942\archives. Double click on the "texture.rfa" file to bring up all the contents of the file in the Extractor window. Click on "extract" then "all files" and then direct it to c:/program files/ea games/battlefield 1942 folder ( not the archives folder ). Once this is done, the program will create a folder titled "texture" with all of the files in .dds formatt. Now go back to the original "texture.rfa" file in the "archives" folder and rename it to "testure.rfa" so the game will not read it. Next select all of the unzipped files ( ie, 1p_willy4_i.dds, 1p_willy_i.dds, willy1_z.dds, willy2_Z.dds files ) and put them in the c:\program files\ea games\battlfield 1942\texture folder. It will ask "files already exist, do you wish to overwrite files?" click on "yes. That's it. This new texture folder can also be used to load up other custom skins as well in the .dds formatt, I don't know if it will work if you add files in the .rfa formatt. You can try if you like and see what happens.
