This is just a mini-mod that takes all the RTR and SW maps and grants access to them from the original Battlefield, getting rid of the need to change between expansion packs to play a new map. Pretty handy if I do say so myself.
The WWII-mod for BF-1942 By: cryostoreNL Developers notes: This mod merely acts as a bridge between BF1942 and it's two Xpacks, negating the need to reload BF. The maps themselves are not included, instead references are placed in the mod's 'init.con'-file. This means that the xpacks themselves are required This program is in no way conected with the WWII-mod released for Battlefield Vietnam by EA-games. Requirements: A retail version of 'Battlefield 1942' Retail Versions of 'BF1942:The Road To Rome' and 'BF1942:Secret Weapons of WWII' A computer which complies with the minimum system requirements for BF1942 (of course...) (It would be all the more handy if you had the Battlefield 1942: World War II Anthology pack, as I do) Installation: extract the ZIP-file the a temporary folder Cut and paste the shortcut to your desktop, for easy starting. Cut and paste the WWII-mod-folder in Battlefield 1942's mods-folder (usually 'C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods') (The folowing is not required, but IS recommended) Copy The music files of Battlefield 1942 ('C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Music') to the mods music folder, but answer NO when prompted to overwrite if you want better music in the main menu. Known Bugs In the maps-list, maps from the xpacks all have the same icon.(not intent on fixing it, since I dont thinks i'll continue working on this) extra: Please e-mail me if you like it or not.
