Battlefield 2 v1.50 Patch Beta #1

The first official beta V1.50 patch by Electronic Arts/DICE. This patch showcases what would be eventually introduced in the final V1.50 patch for Battlefield 2. Check the readme file to see on how to install as well as what changes were made from V1.41 to this patch. The client files are long outdated and are more for historical purposes.

Battlefield 2 V1.50 Patch Beta #1

Release Date: April 21, 2009

Install over 1.41 Battlefield 2, preferably on another copy of your Battlefield 2 installation just to be safe.
When doing a reinstall (if you have to) please delete the Battlefield 2 directory after you have uninstalled. Also I
recommend deleting profiles and cache files from your My Documents folder to ensure a clean install.

New Changes in Beta 1:

- Additional support for Windows Vista.
- Added Highway Tampa as a required map.
- Added a new map called Operation Blue Pearl.

- Changes made to both the J10 and F35B to make them more balanced. Please note that the J10 is a superior dogfighter to
the F35B and as such these two aircraft will never be equally matched.
- AA targeting tweaked to make it more effective.
- Added checks to prevent "runway grieving".
- Various changes made to prevent cheating.
- Tweaked the hit detection, hits will be more accurate to the model.
- Server crashing – We have worked with the issues causing servers to crash, which has caused problems for the community
(especially those who rent ranked servers).
- Name/ID spoofing – Extra steps have been implemented to ensure the soldier being used belongs to the right account.
- Commander assets – This is to stop the excessive spawning of multiple crates, UAVs or vehicles.
- More information on Update 1.50 will be revealed as we approach the release date!
