Modern Warfare is a Battlefield 2 mod that adds a new mixture of both fun and realism to the game, as well as advanced military weapon systems that most contemporary fighting vehicles have.

The recoil, rate of fire, accuracy, muzzle velocity, and damage of all handheld weapons has been modified to reflect those of "real-life" values and the lethality of the modern weaponry.

This mod also emphasizes teamwork, if your health reaches the red zone, you'll eventually bleed to death unless you get treated by medic, the number of magazines and/or ammunition carried has been reduced, therefore increasing the support class' usefulness.

interest in helping with the developing of Modern Warfare!

this mod using high-end or mid-end computer systems.

1. About
---------------

Modern Warfare is a Battlefield 2 mod that adds a new mixture of both
fun and realism to the game, as well as advanced military weapon
systems that most contemporary fighting vehicles have.

The recoil, rate of fire, accuracy, muzzle velocity, and damage of all
handheld weapons has been modified to reflect those of "real-life" values
and the lethality of the modern weaponry.

This mod also emphasizes teamwork, if your health reaches the red zone,
you'll eventually bleed to death unless you get treated by medic,
the number of magazines and/or ammunition carried has been reduced,
therefore increasing the support class' usefulness.

NOTE: Modern Warfare is realism-based mod, not a realism mod per se!
In some cases realism was sacrificed for balancing purposes. (this is
particularly the case with snipers, since most of the times you will
get an OSOK [One Shot, One Kill] with a sniper rifle, the number of
ammunition carried by this kit has been dramatically reduced)


IMPORTANT NOTE: Because of some conflicts and/or confusion that arose on
some websites, I have felt important to reaffirm that it takes LESS
bullets to KILL, not the other way around!

In the near-future, this mod will add real new factions and weapons to the
game,from well-known armed forces like the Russian Federation Armed Forces,
Bundeswehr, British Armed Forces, to more unfamiliar forces like the
Japanese Self-Defense Forces, and the Israel Defense Forces.

2. Installation

a) Unzip all files

b) Run bf2_mw_mm_0.2.exe

c) Follow the setup steps

d) To play, run the shortcut on the start menu and enjoy!

¬ MEC SpecOps kit carries a modernized AKS-74U
  (Improved rate of fire, and damage)
¬ US SpecOps kit carries a FN SCAR L
¬ MEC Assault/Medic kits carry AK-107s instead of AK-47s
  (Improved accuracy, rate of fire, and damage)
¬ MEC Support kit carries a PKM instead of the RPK-74

¬ All MBTs have selectable SABOT and HEAT rounds
¬ Added integrated range-finders to all FVs
¬ Added integrated target-identifiers to all FVs
¬ Added smoke grenade countermeasures to all AA vehicles
¬ All FVs now carry a limited number of flares and/or smoke-grenades (Countermeasures)
¬ The Mi-28 Havoc carries 40 S8 Missiles, 2 AA-11 Archer Missiles and 8 AT tactical missiles
¬ The Zhisheng-10 carries 34 S8 Missiles, 2 AA AIM-9 Sidewinder Missiles and 8 AT tactical missiles
¬ The AH-1Z Super Cobra carries 32 TOW missiles, 2 AA AIM-9 Sidewinder Missiles and 8 AGM-114 Hellfire Missiles
¬ The F-35B carries 4 AA AIM-9 Sidewinder Missiles and 2 MK82 gravity bombs
¬ The F-15 Strike Eagle carries 8 AA AIM-9 Sidewinder Missiles, 2 Mk500 gravity bombs and 4 AGM-65 Maverick 
  air-to-surface tactical missiles
¬ The F/A-18 Super Hornet carries 2 AA AIM-9 Sidewinder Missiles and 6 MK82 gravity bombs
¬ The MiG-29 Fulcrum carries 6 AA-11 Archer Missiles and 2 Mk500 gravity bombs
¬ The Su-34 Fullback carries 4 AA-11 Archer Missiles, 4 Mk82 gravity bombs and 4 Kedge air-to-surface tactical missiles
¬ The Chengdu J-10 carries 4 AA-11 Archer Missiles and 2 Mk500 gravity bombs
¬ The Sukhoi Su-30 carries 4 AA-11 Archer Missiles, 6 MK82 gravity bombs and 2 Kedge air-to-surface tactical missiles

3) Other
¬ Improved ballistics
¬ Improved physics-realism:
  a) Whenever you fire a missile/bomb the helicopter or plane that launched it upgrades its graphics to
  reflect the ammunition spent (Note: This was already included in some vehicles of the original game,
  but not at this new extent)
  b) Strategic objects (Artillery, bridges, etc...) can now be destroyed with more than just C4
  (i.g. if you drop a bomb and/or use plenty of grenades)

¬ Several HUD changes
¬ Wreckage/debris stays longer 
¬ New skins and sounds for the new/overhauled weapons
¬ Modified jump height (bunny-hopping is not effective, however you can jump most of the obstacles)
¬ Replaced MEC with the Arabian Armed Forces
 (A new faction with a more “modern” Russian arsenal)
 (Note: This faction will disappear once the full mod is released, since they are just placeholders of the Russian army)

¬ The LAV-25 APC is capable of firing simultaneously 2 AT TOW missiles
¬ The M1A2 SEP Main Battle Tank's main cannon is more powerful and has increased splash damage
¬ Replaced AGM-114 Hellfire manual system with a laser-guided system

¬ Increased sprint time
¬ Decreased walking speed
¬ Decreased running speed
¬ Added impact-blood effect
¬ Removed hit indicators from the HUD
¬ Removed healing, repairing and ammo icons
¬ Decreased jump height (bunny-hopping is no longer effective)
¬ Replaced the fictional MEC army with a more "realistic" terrorist faction
 (Please note, I do not intend to "dis" or insult anyone by placing terrorist on the game, the reason for
  replacing the MEC army with terrorists is to replace a fictional-faction with a real one, NO POLITICS
  OR PERSONAL BELIEFS ARE INVOLVED!)
