Demize99's BF:Vietnam Batch Lighting Tool and lmList.dat Generator
-----------------------------------------------
This is a pretty simple tool, you'll need VB 6.0 run time files to run the program. To make an lmList.dat, simply select the size of your map from the drop down box, check the tiles you want lighted and save the lmList.dat by exporting it to your battlefield vietnam\ShadowWork\bfvietnam\levels\LevelName\Textures directory.

For batch lighting, you will need to set your game paths by selecting "Set Paths" from the file menu, or by hitting ctrl+p. For example:
Game Path: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam
Level Name: Hue
Mod Name: bfvietnam

You can also set the shadow darkness for merging your shadows. 1.5 is the default setting, lesser values will darken the shadows, higher values will brighten them. Try 0.5 for a night time map. Saved batch settings (terrain, object, merge) will also show up here, but their values must be set in the main area for now. This will probably be changed in a future version.

After you have input your paths, simply select which of the 3 operations you want to perform from the options box. All of the 3 options can be performed at once. When you select Run Lighting the program will generate a batch file and run it, passing BFVietnam all the required parameters to complete all the requsted operations. The lighting tool can be closed at this point.

******
Please Note, In order to generate shadows and succesfully merge them, you must have extracted your level's textures into the battlefield vietnam\ShadowWork\bfvietnam\levels\LevelName\Textures directory as 24 bit TGA files. There is no batch ability to do this that I have found so this feature is not available. There are several tools to do this step, please see the www.bf42.com forums for more information on this.

Hope this tool helps people out.
