Many weapons were designed, created and tested, but one in particular caught starfleet's eye. this was an "Advanced Quantum torpedo". This Quantum is a very agile torpedo and will track its target efficiently and follow it if necessary. The best way to avoid this torpedo once its been fired against you is to warp.

Starfleet's scientists and engineers worked tirelessly on many types of weapons. Starfleet's mandate was to design an energy efficient yet extremely devastating weapon that could be destructive enough to pose a danger to all of its current threats, including the cardassians, the dominion, the kazons, the romulans and even the borg. Many weapons were designed, created and tested, but one in particular caught starfleet's eye. this was an "Advanced Quantum torpedo". This Quantum is a very agile torpedo and will track its target efficiently and follow it if necessary. The best way to avoid this torpedo once its been fired against you is to warp. Pros - extremely high yield torpedo and doesn't cause any lag with multiple ADV-Quantum s Flying around. cons - none, but it might be too powerful for some people, if so just edit the torpedo's damage to your liking. I spent a lot of time designing the torpedo, i hope you all like it, and most of all have fun with it. Installation: extract the contents of this folder into your BC main directory. To add this torpedo to a ship either rename the torpedo script, or edit the ship hardpoint you want it used with by using MPE and then Going to C:\Program Files\Activision\Bridge Commander\scripts\ships\Hardpoints and Pick a Ship. "It must be in the Form of a py file" open it then check the box that says "named objects" after that click above on scene root. Then to your left side you will see submenu properties. Click on torpedoes, then edit property then click ammo types click the 1,2,3 or 4 then when you see "Tactical.Projectiles." type "AdvancedQuantum" behind it with no spaces, it should look like this Tactical.Projectiles.AdvancedQuantum then save the ships py file but DONT FORGET TO DELETE the ships "pyc" file before saving the py file! BC will automatically make a new pyc file for the updated py file. Included is a stock sfx sound. Use BCMP to add the sound plugin or add a different sound plugin of your choice with BCMP. To utilize a different sound file you will need to open the T-Quantum's py file and edit the Getlaunchsound peramiter. If you are editing this torpedo's py file for the second time you must then also delete its "pyc" file that bridge commander created for it on the first install before saving its "py" file or any changes you make wont be updated. Also be careful not to click on the menus button or type anything in the ship plugins menu of BCMP as it is prone to auto deleting some ships from BC. once you're done its ready to go... enjoy!
