Akira Light skin

Instructions:

			Always BACK UP FIRST. 

It will save you from having to re-install to get the original back, if you decide you don't like the new textures or if something goes wrong.


This zip can be extracted to the Bridge Commander directory, but will overwrite any files  already there. 

the Akira files in question are stored in 
X:\Program Files\Activision\Bridge Commander\data\Models\Ships\Akira\High

where X is the letter of your drive

Find your Bridge Commander folder and extract the files with the path information intact.

You will be prompted to overwrite the files found there.

This is essentially an Akira repaint. Remodeling of the Actual ship will have to wait for the SDK. Future releases from me will include an accurate reflection of the Akira based on the Star Trek DS9 technical manual as interpreted by:

...This site is a very good technical resource for many TNG  and DS9/DWR ships, and is very plain about what is fact and what is speculation.


The current version of the Akira has been "brushed up". Several small graphical errors and texture alignment problems have been fixed. Also, colors have been filtered and layers added to make the ship more reflective.

Changes are based on actual pictures of the U.S.S. Thunderchild, a somewhat famous BattleCruiser.
