This is a wonderful old school ship from Anduril. All of the sounds are dead on right, and it has the right number of phaser banks. It does not fire as many torpedeo's as the TOS Enterprise does in the TV show, but that's cool with me. Some people may not like the slow recharge rate on the weapons, but to me it's the way it should be. Also, its a little on the slow side but remember that this ship is pre-movie era. This ship does have a high poly count, but it did not slow my system down at all, unlike another ship posted just a few days ago....

7/14/2002 update:
This rebuild for BC is largely in response to the SciFi Dreamyards releasing information regarding adding animation to textures on models.  So credit for the know how and motivating me to do this goes to them.

Changes to this ship are as follows

1. new rebuilt secondary hull with no faces hidden behind others like the ones on the previous version just behind the side starfleet symbols. (extrude is my friend and the secondary hull, shuttle bay doors and overhang are a result of it)

2. the neck and secondary hull are now attached to each other to avoid the overlapping polies there.

3. the bridge is attached to the b+c decks which are themselves now attached to the saucer top.  (this and change number 2 result from the BC game which does not like polies in close proximity to each other)

4. new more accurate looking deflector antenna.

5. Animation to the bussards to simulate the vanes rotating.  These bussards are modeled after the look they have on the dvd's of the series that have been released.

Hardpoint note:  I have finally figured out why the phasers on the top phasers, port and starboard sides seemed to have their arcs reversed resulting in some phaser fire going thru the front of the nacelles.  I've also made it so the various phaser pairs will fire together instead of singly.  The changes in arcs still will let you maneuver your ship to have multiple phaser banks fire together at a target.


5028 (I think) polygons:  Higher than any other of my ships but this ship is worth it!
8 textures: fca1, fca2, fca3, fca4, fca5, buss1, buss2, buss3
