I am [SE]FC Odyssey. For two years I have been tinkering with Bridge Commander. As far as all Star Trek games I have played goes, Stock Bridge Commander is almost the most uncannon game made in the name of Star Trek. For this reason wanted to make a Mod for it that would make BC Cannon, yet ballanced.

This mod includes icons, weapons, sounds (Elite Force2 & Armada2), effects and retextures (Sov & Warbird) for the stock ships.

< ---- 1: Introduction ---- >

        I am [SE]FC Odyssey. For two years I have been tinkering
with Bridge Commander. As far as all Star Trek games I have
played goes, Stock Bridge Commander is almost the most 
uncannon game made in the name of Star Trek. For this reason
I wanted to make a Mod for it that would make BC Cannon, yet
ballanced.

       As Time went by, I played other people's mods hoping someone
would get it right. MPMP just filled the game with god ships, & C2's mod
added some funny looking ships that weren't verry realistic to the shows
and movies.

     I tried making mods that added more ships & making them cannon, but
I never could exactly make a Mod w/ the foundation plugin system that 
didn't change the ship scripts. Just recently, I decided to forget the
foundation, and just make the stock ships as realistic as I could by altering
the stock ships and systems, without realy adding anything, only replacing
things. After 6 months of mothballs, Myself & RNGD StompaWampa finished this
mod, with the help of  RNGD StompaWampa & his freinds. I altered the ships
found different things here & there to replace the stock effects, & then had
StompaWampa help me with a few things I didn't know how to do. XFS The Doc & his freinds played the beta versions online to test for online ballance.
Now the mod is complete & ready for your enjoyment.

< ----- 2. Installation ------ >

NOTE: It is very important that this mod is installed over a CLEAN 1.1 version
of Bridge Commander. If you don't know what that means or how to have a 
clean version of Bridge Commander follow these steps:

How to cleanse BC:

1. Un install Bridge Commander using the uninstaller
2. Open up to &quot;C:/Program Files/Activision&quot; through My Computer
3. If there is a Bridge Commander folder in there, right click on it
and select &quot;Delete&quot;
4. Restart Your Computer and Install Bridge Commander
5. Install the official 1.1 patch
----- You now have a clean Bridge Commander -----

Installation:

1. Run the self extracting file, it is set to install in the Default Directory.
1a. If your BC is not in the Default Directory, please rerout the installer
when it asks for the installation Directory.

You should now have 1.1a correctly installed.

< ----- 3. Changes Made ----- >

1. I narrowed phaser beams & altered damages according to Phaser type.
2. I editted torpedoes to look and sound like the ones in Star Trek
3. I changed the Warp effects using a different Warp flash & I editted the
Star trek Armada 2 Warp sound to be timed with the warping ship

Note: The Ships altered in 1.1a are altered with Deep Space 9 & 1st Contact
themed technology. Ships are ballanced & hardpointed according to the
technology of those time periods.
