CONTENTS:-
Liberator/DSV - V2.1 mod
Starburst Class Pursuit ship - V2.0 mod
System Patrol Ship - V1.1 mod
 - All mods have textures, sfx, hardpoints and everything else to run.

KNOWN BUGS/PROBLEMS:-
This is a big mod, so low mem systems may have a problem running it. Aside from that, this mod has been tested in Bridge Commander 1.1, and NanoFX2 Beta and works fine.
** IF you have already downloaded the Version 1.0 Liberator or Federation Pursuit Ship then this mod WILL overwrite them. We can't imagin why anyone would want to hang on to the old versions, but if for what ever reason you want to, then you will have to rename some folders/files in order to do so. **

REQUIREMENTS:-
SubMenu mod - (Optional, this mod will work without it)
FTA2, as the Liberator has hull armour. - (Optional, this mod will work without it)

ISTALLATION INSTRCTIONS:-
Drag and drop files/folders into your Bridge Commander root directory.

GENERAL INFO:-
This is a Bridge Commander conversion of the "Liberator," a Federation "Starburst Class" pursuit ship, and a "System Patrol Ship" from Blake's 7, a BBC sci-fi series that ran from 1978-1981. Whilst we have tried to be as faithful as possible to the original ships, compromises have had to be made due to the fact that Bridge Commander is a Star Trek game, and operates in the Trek universe, with Trek rules.
Aside from that, these ship has been scripted/built to form, and are as close as we could get to bringing them to life for Bridge Commander - and it is at least 100% better then the Version 1 releases from April 2004 - but we'll let you be the judge of that.

CHANGES FROM PRIOR VERSION:-

Liberator/DSV,
New mesh, which is based on the 3DS Max mesh crested by Jayru in 2005.
New textures maps (in fact, this mod only makes use of two maps, as opposed to the 6 it had last time. Specular maps have been included as well).
New icon, which is a top shot of the 3DS Max mesh of this ship.
New hardpoint - this ship has been balanced against the other Blake's 7 ships in this pack.
New SFX, which have been sampled from the show.
Updated projectile files, to give the weapons a new look.
Updated TGL description.
** - Please note that the weapons systems on this ship have been updated, and improved upon. This ship is a powerful warship - which is exactly what it always has been, and should be. This mod is not a "god ship" - but you will either need an equally powerful vessel, or a fleet to take this ship on, and destroy it. The weapons featured in this mod are all known to have existed on the Liberator, but only the blasters were ever seen to fire - due no doubt to the lack of fx budget on the show. The placement of the Seeker Missile tubes, and the Plasma Bolt Launcher are congectural. The addition of aft missile tubes is based on comments made in the show - and just seems fairly logical. We know the ship had these weapons, but no one knows where they fired from on the ship! Given the size of the blasters (which have a length greater then a Galaxy Class) they have been uprated to deliver more of a punch, and can take out most ships in one shot. Our advice is to attack this ship from the sides, top or bottom, and not to get in front of it, or for that matter behind it.

Starburst Class/Federation Pursuit Ship,
New mesh, which is based on the 3DS Max mesh crested by Jayru in 2005.
New textures map (in fact, this mod only makes use of one map, as opposed to the 7 it had last time.
This ship is a warship, but is not as advanced as the Liberator/DSV. Given that this ship is about the same size as a Galaxy Class it's weapons have been upgraded to reflect it's size, and power (based on screen evidence). Although slow this ship can deliver quite a punch. It is best used in packs of three or more. Although only this type of ship was only ever seen to fire Plasma Bolts, it is known that the Federation had "basic" nuetron blaster technology, and it is likely these ships had them. The addition of these, and missiles are more for the game, then because we know the ship had them - although they seem logical.

System Patrol Ship,
V1.0 not released to public, however changes are as follows,
New mesh, which is based on the 3DS Max mesh crested by Jayru in 2005.
New textures map (in fact, this mod only makes use of one map, as opposed to the 7 it had last time.
** - This ship is from the same race that built the Liberator/DSV. It's systems and weapons are therefore comparible. This is a medium range attack vessel, with a medium power blaster. This vessel was only seen in the episode "Redemption" when two of these ships attacked and inflicted major damage on the Liberator. The fact this ship has "Seeker Missiles" is congectural - but reasonable given there size, and use.

WHY BOTHER WITH A VERSION 2.0?
Because the Version 1.0 mods are pants - and it's ok for me to say that, as I made them!
