Description: This is a Sovereign and Norexan Class hardpoint that I made as canon as I could to ST: Nemesis. It is a modified version of the original CG (Sovereign) and KM (Norexan) hardpoints, with several modifications to the torpedo systems. For more information on per-ship changes, see below.
Also note that screen shots are not included because there are not any changes that pictures can capture well. The only real way to understand these hardpoints is to use them.

It is a modified version of the original CG (Sovereign) and KM (Norexan) hardpoints, with several modifications to the torpedo systems. For more information on per-ship changes, see below. Sovereign's Unique Features: 1) Quantum Torpedoes are now fired as torpedoes, meaning that they are now long-distance weapons, which is their canon application from First Contact and Nemesis. The Quantum Torpedo payload is now 3 torpedoes with a fast recharge time, canon to Nemesis. The ship carries 150 torpedoes. 2) The most important of these changes: I have changed all of the photon torpedo tubes to fire as pulse weapons, making them shorter-range weapons than the quantums, which is canon to Nemesis. They also fire at a faster, canon fire rate. The forward burst-fire torpedo tubes have a capacity of 8 in all, the aft tubes fire 12 torpedoes total. 3) This ship is compatible with the KM ablative armors. 4) The ship has regenerative shields, and a fast shield recharge rate. Norexan's Unique Features: 1) The forward disruptors are always loaded. 2) The shields are much more powerful, making the ship able to withstand some sort of beating. 3) Although I had not originally planned it, I had to give the Norexan torpedoes, because no matter how powerful they are, disruptors are not enough for a ship. The Torpedoes only work well on fast ships (the Scimitar and Sovereign) at point blank range, explaining why they were not fired in the movie. Other: Although not tactically important, I raised the specular levels a great deal for the same reflections produced by our first views of the Sovereign and Valdore. Tactics: Sovereign: The Sovereign is a perfect ship to combat fleets. fire quantum torpedoes at a distance (greater than 40 km), staying at one-third speed, for an almost guaranteed hit, destroying as many ships as possible, then, when the target gets withing 40 km, go to full speed, get up close and unleash the photons in a strafing run, firing phasers at will. I recommend using 125% to weapons, sensors, and shields, but keeping engines between 80 and 100 % because power management is fairly difficult. Norexan: The Norexan is an excellent ship for battle in small groups. At the beginning of the battle, cloak, and let the enemy pursue your ally. approach to close range (around 5 km), decloak, and unleash with disruptors and torpedoes. try to keep your nose facing the target at close range, and blanket the enemy in disruptor fire while your torpedoes recharge. if they get away, turn about and use the aft disruptors and torpedoes. Keep full power to engines, weapons, and shields, and try your best to keep hitting the opponent constantly. To install: Extract to a temporary folder, then copy and paste into your BC directory. Be sure to back up your Sovereign and ValdoreHP hardpoints. Alternate (AI adapted) Sovereign HPs: install as usual, open the BC directory, go to scipts/ships/hardpoints and rename or delete Sovereign.py and rename Sovereign_AI_modded.py to Sovereign.py the quantum torpedoes will fire slower from the AI ships, allowing them to hit their target. only do this if you prefer having Sovereigns be AI ships. Enjoy. This is the product of a great deal of work, and using it without giving credit is simply wrong, and rude. Upcoming Mods: A canon nemesis pack would not be complete without the Scimitar to ram into, so I will make my best efforts to produce a more canon and durable ship to lay waste unto (with and without the cloaking device). I've also wanted to be able to issue helm commands (change course to 297 mark 61, full impulse) directly from the helm menu. I have an idea as to how it would work, but i am not yet sure how to implement it. Still alot of learning to do in python before I can do that.
