-------BEGIN TRANSMISSION------- *************************************** ***********INFORMATION***************** *************************************** This is probably the last version I will do. This version incorporates the cloak firing script used in KOBMARU 0.9 and includes the ship, HP, Weapons, and other stuff. It will be installed under a new menu group listed as Stealth Ships. This ship is balanced for kobayashi maru 0.9 and requires future technologies 2.0(FTA2)if you don't have KOBMARU. You can get FTA2 at (http://files.filefront.com/fta2zip/;3673533;/fileinfo.html) but I have included it so you wouldn't have to dig. Please note that if you don't have KOBMARU you can only fire torpedoes while cloaked, unless there is another mod I don't know about. The game should run fine as long as you have KOBMARU. IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS OR SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME. I HAVE ADDED MY ATTEMPT TO DO SO, BUT IF IT DOESN'T WORK, USE BCMI TO INSTALL THE TGL. YOU NEED WinRAR TO DOWNLOAD. read about the ships prototype here. (http://fiction.ex-astris-scientia.org/renegade_ships.htm) **************************************** ************MORE INFO******************* **************************************** This time I have armed the ship with a new ADVANCED Quantum torpedo that does 800 damage and drains shields by 5% each hit. I replaced the original 2 torpedo tubes, (that fired 4 torps each) with 6 torpedo tubes(that fire one torpedo each). This fixes problems with the cloakfire tech so that you will always fire 4 fwd and 2 aft. They are also placed so closely together that it looks like there are only 2 launch tubes when you look at your tactical display. In my previous file the ship was armed with pulse phasers that were not accurate when fired under cloak. THIS time the ship is equipped with 2 types of pulse phasers: the original, and a new type that does 1/3 the damage of the original, but tracks the target for the first second after being fired, giving the illusion of being aimed correctly. To change between the 2, go to the tactical officer's menu and click on the tab that says "cloakfire pulse"; click on it again to switch back. I have included the appropriate files to make this possible while not messing up your other mods. I have also messed around with the power distribution so that it appears more realistic. The weapons require more power than normal because of the ships ability to replicate torpedoes as they launch. I could not figure out how to make the ship really generate torpedoes as they launch, so I gave the ship 4000 torpedoes per torpedo type. I weakened the shields a little and lowered the recharge rates so that it would be more balanced against other ships. This is still a heavily armed and armoured ship though, as its shields are at '8000' and recharge at'25' per second. But it is not a god ship by any means. The ship has the ability to use the advanced armour(yeah, I included the file), but it has not been added to the ship. I have included the information on how to use this. DO NOT MESS WITH ANY OF THE FILES INCLUDED UNTILL YOU HAVE READ THE MODDER INFO THINGY I HAVE INCLUDED WITH THEM!!!!!!! THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. I, being a lazy newbie, have modified all files to use SFX that should be on your BC by default so that I wouldn't have to make a sound plugin.
