Seeing its first showing on BCFiles as a separate bridge, the FC Excelsior Bridge is a modification of the original Excelsior Bridge. This Ultra high res mod comes as a easy to install .EXE. So all the guess work is handled for you. Retextured by Jesse, with LCARS by Glenn and model changes by Mark, the FC Excelsior aims to create a vision of what the Excelsior Class bridge may look like, by the time of First Contact. The bridge comes with a complete set of sounds, and supports Bridge Plugin Effects. The First Contact Excelsior Bridge set is "sleek and stylized". This will be a welcome addition to your Bridge Collection.

Excelsior Refit (First Contact Era) Background This retexture of Vipers Excelsior bridge was originally intended to take the place of an Akira class bridge, and was started by Jesse in 2005. The project was put on hiatus at the end of 2005 when Jesse became busy with real life commitments, and remained dormant until 2007 when it was reawakened as part of the Kobayashi Maru 1.0 development project. The new textures were incorporated into a more modern refit for the Excelsior and new LCARS were created by Glenn, while model changes and updated lightmaps were completed by Mark. This version of the bridge includes insanely high resolution textures which WILL slow down your game, we recommend the Normal resolution version for actual gameplay.
