Description

The Klingon C9A Heavy Attack Cruiser was in service during the late 24th Century and thru most of the 25th Century.


This mod has been updated with the changes noted below:


Updated 2023-05-31 by MSR1701 with the following changes:

- script for Torpedoes updated to use "Photon 4a", Disruptor 3, Disruptor 2 and Disruptor 4 for BC RE v1.2

- Ship Plugin added to load the ship under "Klingon Ships"

- sfx updated to use "Klingon Phaser" sfx for compatibility with BC RE v1.2

No other changes were effected to the model, textures and scripts on this update.

Vessel History:
In 2360 a new battleship was commissioned to replace the 
aging C-7 and heavy Vorcha mainframes. A testbed was 
designed, the C-10, to space test the new components
for what would be commissioned as the Negh'var class
battleship. Once the testing was complete, the frame
was placed in mothballs and the Negh'var began pro-
duction on a large scale. The return of the Emporer, 
his reintegration with his soul and the need for a ship
that could transport him safely to and from the fleet's
flagship brought the stored vessel back to life. After
extensive modifications and upgrades, the C-9 Kahless
tIq vo', or Heart of Kahless was put into service. It
was designed specifically to attach to the C-20A
Dreadnought, otherwise known as Qo'nos 1, the flagship
of the Klingon Defense Force.

This vessel is the second most advanced ship ever 
fielded by the Klingon Empire. It boasts a dynamic
shielding system, adaptive cloak, advanced reactive
armor plating, and organic power and information transfer
systems. Although it is not as heavilly shielded as the
C-10, it is faster, more menuverable, and far superior
in weaponry, equipped with fore and aft fast load
torp launchers, 2 forward long range heavy distruptors
2 aft long range disruptors, 2 quick charge heavy 
disruptor cannon pods, 4 medium fast rate disruptor
cannons, and finally 2 short range cannons, as well as
8 pulse disruptors ventral and dorsal, 4 each for close
defense.

For vessel area defense, the ship carries 2 heavy
fighters in the rear dorsal bay, plus 4 light fighters in
the aft ventral bay. 6 small shuttles are contained in 
the ventral forward bay. Finally, this ship, like the
Blade of Kahless, has the ability to dampen it's sensor
signature while fully operational. Though not a full
"fire while cloaked" system, it is very effected at
medium to long range.
