This mod will improve the stats on the marauder so it will compete with p81's ships. I played against it with a galaxy class, and took some damage. Can't say it was bad damage, but it's beam weapons are strong and it can take some decent hits. Still seams a bit easy for a ship that should be roughly comparable to a galaxy class. Some of the weapon system hitpoints could be turned up a little.
*** Star Trek: Bridge Commander *** Ferengi Marauder Upgrade v1.0 ----------------------------- by TFA_Maverick [email protected] ICQ 10934208 I did this because there seems to be an upgrade for every stock ship in the game (not counting those pesky Kessok) except the Marauder and Vorcha. This simple mod upgrades the shields, hull, and weapon power of the Marauder in proportion to the Knox Galaxy and Cardassian Galor and Keldon upgrades by Nine of Nine. This mod doesn't make the Marauder a tank or overly powerful, nor does it add any new weapons; it just lets it hold its own against the new ships and, more importantly, survive Cardassian assault by the improved Cardie ships in those "Save the Krayvis" missions. A crafty captain can even take down the Knox Galaxy by softening up those dorsal shields and going in for the kill with the improved phaser beam... Installation ------------ 1. Open your Bridge Commander\scripts\ships\hardpoints folder 2. Delete (or otherwise remove) the marauder.pyc file 3. Unzip the included marauder.py file into that same folder 4. You're done! It's that easy. Beware, this does overwrite your original Marauder, so you should only install this if the Marauder is more or less the only stock ship left (like with me) =)
