Its a very nice ship to use & to fight! It was a team effort to create this so here a list of the team:

Readme for the Montana Class Bridge Commander ship:

Installation:

copy the scripts and data folders into the BC root directory. The ship will default to appearing under "other ships" unless changed using nanobyte's BCMP. The ship comes with full TGL files, they can be installed with the BCMP, but make sure the MA85_cbattleship.tgl file is in the BCMP/ShipTGLs folder of your BC install if it is anywhere other than your bc directory (which is hwere the tgl will be placed on installation). Don't be fooled when you see the hull and shield ratings in the tens of thousands, they're not in the same unit as the original BC ships, cos I don't know what they are.

To make use of the third torpedo on the ship. Copy the quickbattle.py file into scripts/quickbattle and remove the quickbattle.pyc MAKE SURE YOU KEEP A BACKUP COPY OF THE PYC - just in case. This will unlock the third and fourth torpedos on any ship that has them (photons on the montana, phased for the sovereign for example).

Known bugs:
texture glitch on the surface between the top and bottom nacelles.


tactics and info:
it's A strong ship, but it does have it's weak points. It's bridge is sitting on the top of the hull, and is only mediun armour. And while there are dual warp cores, either one of them will detsory the ship if taken out. The dorsal side of the ship is it's stringest and weakest point, huge firepower, good shield. But all the weapons pods are very vulnerable. Watch you don't lose most of your weapons in the first few minutes of an enagement.

I do not wish my mail box to be filled with stupidity and dumb questions. If you have a comment (something we can improve that doesn't involve altering the model or texture), I'd prefer you'd register @ STGN and the above link, and come to the bridge commander section of the message board to speak with me and the team. Use the e-mail if you have an issue that you simply cannot resolve any other way (IE: you are banned from stgn...lol). Also, do not ask to be a beta testor. Beta testors are recruited at STGN and Gamespy's BC forums, and are general people I know to some degree. 



Have fun. And make sure to keep an eye out for the next in the set of mars yards ships coming to BC.
