The trident class was likely a form of transport vessel due to it's extra saucer volume and limited armament. It has the speed and agility of a light cruiser but aside from lacking a fwd torpedo system it has the strength of a normal excelcior.

The trident class was likely a form of transport vessel due to it's extra saucer volume and limited armament. It has the speed and agility of a light cruiser but aside from lacking a fwd torpedo system it has the strength of a normal excelcior. This version of the Trident was built before ex astris did a detailed article on the subject of the frankenstien fleet and provided proper reference. In this version, the single nacelles is on top with one pylon and the dual nacelles are installed ventrally.
