The Scimitar-Class Battleship was an experimental battleship in the Federation fleet during the late 24th and early 25th Centuries.
This mod has been updated with the changes noted below:
Updated 2023-06-04 by MSR1701 with the following changes:
- script for Torpedoes updated to use "Photon 7" and "Quantum 3" for BC RE v1.2
- Ship Plugin added to load the ship under "Federation Ships"
- sfx updated to use "Galaxy Phaser" sfx for compatibility with BC RE v1.2
- Removed redundant and bad script lines in the RE HP file for Aft Torp 3 and Aft Torp 4 to run in Remastered
No other changes were effected to the model, textures and scripts on this update.
Scimitar class Federation Battleship v1.0 -- BC Mod by NinjaDriver (Matt White) This mod incorporates my original model with stock BC skins. I don't have the patience or skill to produce my own textures. If you would like to retexture this ship, please feel free to, but please let me know so I can get a copy of the textures too. :) Same goes with the model. If you would like to modify the model, then please contact me on the BCN forums (preferably in the Modding forum) and I will supply you with the MAX model files. Same as before, please let me have a copy of the modified or kitbashed model (maybe we could start an evolution of ship design starting with this one). Also, ANY feedback on the model or hardpoints is GREATLY appreciated. Please post it on the BCN forum also. I plan on making revisions to the model and or hardpoints if a relatively large consensus would like a change. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: You can extract this zip straight to your root directory of your harddrive IF you meet the following criteria: 1) You have BC installed to the default directory 2) You have BCMP installed in the Program Files directory 3) You have both of these programs installed on the same harddrive If you meet the criteria, then unzip WITH Folder structure enabled. If you don't meet the criteria, then look at the supplied folder structure in the zip and extract the files to the proper places. I'm sorry about the file structure in the zip, I'm not used to making them, just extracting them. Make sure you use BCMP to install the mod and install the supplied TGL file for the ship. You don't have to create one, I already have. Just go to the TGL menu and update the game TGL with my file. It should show up in the menu. Have fun with the ship.
