File Description

This is a hardpoint .py file for Rick Knoxx's re-scaled Akira model. Venzon has modified the ventral saucer phasers, so that the two small arrays that are on the model are correctly used, and has also increased the maximum torp load to 3000, as the Daystrom Institute says it should be. He's also positioned the 15 (yes, 15) torpedo launchers in their correct positions on the ship and in the 2D display, again according to the Daystom Institute. There are four torpedo tubes at the front of the saucer section, and seven in the rollbar weapon pod. When adjacent photon tubes are fired one after another, each individual torpedo comes out of the correct launcher. Firing all seven of the rollbar launchers at once provides a nice spread. Two more impulse engines have been added to match the textures on the model, and the phaser and shiels power settings have been set to the game's power levels. The .py file goes in your bridge commander scriptsshipshardpoints directory.

* Description *

This is a hardpoint .py file for Rick Knoxx's re-scaled Akira model. I've modified the ventral saucer phasers, so that the two small arrays that are on the model are correctly used, and also increased the maximum torp load to 3000, as the Daystrom Institute says it should be. I've also positioned the 15 (yes, 15) torpedo launchers in their correct positions on the ship and in the 2D display, again according to the Daystom Institute. There are four torpedo tubes at the front of the saucer section, and seven in the rollbar weapon pod. When adjacent photon tubes are fired one after another, each individual torpedo comes out of the correct launcher. Firing all seven of the rollbar launchers at once provides a nice spread. The .py file goes in your bridge commander scripts\ships\hardpoints directory.

* Construction *

Base : original Bridge Commander files, Knox's Akira.
Editor(s) used	: SDK Model Editor, UltraEdit32 (text editor)
Known Bugs	: The phaser flares will occasionally be absent. Also, this Akira might not be properly balanced with the other ships in the game, now.
Build Time	: about 10 hours

* Installation *

Back up your old "akira.py" file located in scripts\ships\hardpoints. Extract the scripts folders to your path, where you installed Bridge Commander, and make sure that you have Knox's re-scaled Akira installed or you will have phasers and torps firing from nowhere.
