For any who might have read my review on Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30 (RtH), ha, who am I kidding – I basically reluctantly conceded that it was a good game. And now, against my better judgment, I’m kind of interested in its expansion Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood (EIB). Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox Software demoed it for us on a nice pretty screen.
First and foremost, some of my biggest qualms with RtH were addressed. For example, enemy AI will flank the player now, adding a lot more of a frantic feel and a good deal more realism. This will also make focusing both fire teams on one squad while you try to snipe another one out of existence, no longer such a good idea. It’ll probably raise the difficulty level, but as long as the fun factor’s still there, that’s fine by me.
